Nope, even your pay are only rm27000 a year you still need to register your self, this is to prevent any problem later on especially when you are applying loan.
As banks will take this as a consideration.

EA Form already serve the purpose for bank loan documentation for income group that is not liable to pay tax.

Yes, you are pretty right on this, then IRB will send a love letter asking for a date whistling.gif

And it is an easy process, same like registering an online ID in forums and becoming a keyboard warrior that like to picking up bones inside an egg like you laugh.gif

Your first advise is to register a tax number to apply for bank loan.

Your second advise is everyone should register a tax number no matter what their income is.

Thank you all your input is very much appreciated.

Regards.

U don't apply later difficult to get bank loan or you will get love letter from lhdN.. Then how?

E-daftar there clearly state who needs to register a tax number. And I doubt IRB will give tax number to those who is not liable to pay any tax.

The above mentioned are taxable income which must be included.

Even car given by company for you to drive, you need to include it as BIK into your taxable income, there is a list of table how much BIK based on car value given, eg. 3.6k as BIK for car valued 75~100k, which will be added into your gross/chargeable income.

Same with mobile phone bill, if your company pay your mobile phone bill as benefit given to employee, you need to add back into your taxable income as BIK

Yes you will need to file for tax and since you already have a tax number then you need to register an online account first time login

Look for Form BE and key in whatever that is in your 2015 EA form. Tax Relief if you have any. Then you will know your final taxable amount whether you will have to pay more/refund. Filing/payment due date 30th April 2016.

Hi,

Would like some advice on tax relief. I am a government servant. Currently still on EPF until they start to offer me the pension scheme. I had bought a desktop once, so that is RM3000 deducted. I personally do not like to bring lots of receipts to claim because:
1. Claim too much (max in each category), even though legal will result in officers being sent to scrutinise your dealings. Had few friends like that. Not nice ordeal, even though cleared.
2. Receipts fade away, even though you can scan, try telling that to the officers at that time, might not be so lucky.
3. I am not that good at maitaining tons of receipts for a 5 year period.

I will claim an odd item here and there, (like another pc or book subscription) though I would rather just they see my paycheck, and know that I'm deducting stuff monthly to get the tax rebate. Currently for tax rebate, I have:
1. Deposit monthly to Zakat (I figure I might as well give something locally rather than the gomen). About 60% of the rate of the PCB rate. Zakat is not-refundable, unlike income tax. That is why deposit is about 60%.
2. I have a wife and child (few months old) so I should get extra tax rebate.

What other methods of passive tax rebates which I could do so that when come to e-filling time, I don't spend too much time on stuff?

I am planning to open a SSPN-i account for my child, so I guess that is RM6k extra/year. I have a ASB account, though I am not sure if this is tax deductable.

Second, as my wife is also working, she has yet to setup any kind of tax rebate. What is best for her?

Thank you all for the advice.

Hi,

Can anyone advise how this PCB is calculated?

December 2015

M12000-EPF 11% (RM1320) - PCB (RM1295) - SOCSO (RM14.75) = RM9370.25

January 2016

RM12000- EPF 11%(RM1320) - PCB(RM1571.70) - SOCSO (RM14.75) = RM9093.55

On the latest 2016 PCB table it shows this :

RM12000-RM1320 = RM10680

RM10676 - RM10680 = 1374.85

Can anyone advice on this?

please be specific... 6k on life insurance is shared with epf.

most ppl already maxed out on epf. and as the TS has mentioned, it is epf for him now. so it's not additional 6k.
