I've lost my donation receipt RM40 (not alot). Problem I now I was send a love letter from LHDN. Will there bea fine/penalty on it?  rclxub.gif
*
Nope, worst case just say that receipt missing and pay that rm40's tax bracket, case closed.
As said, a word sorry and admit is your mistake is the best way to prevent you from getting penalty.

Have you been in that situation?  sad.gif

Just get fine for the peanuts bracket.

In addition, you mentioned that you been audited back 7 years!  rclxub.gif
*
Yes, in fact 3 times already. That's why I dare to say so icon_rolleyes.gif
Nope, like my tax bracket is 26%, I just need to pay rm10.40 for that rm40's receipt that are lost.
But set back is, they will start digging past 7 years record. Like you get love letter for 2014's tax audit, they will dig till 2008's record.
And they will also monitor you for another 1-2 years.
So is not that nice to get audited.

That's just a general guide. You need to deduct everything first then only will know. Sometimes even your income at rm4000 a month also no need to pay tax thumbup.gif

So from the PDF file it shows min salary taxable is starts from  $2851 not 3k as I expected?

It seems far from deduct lesser from what has been deducted based on salary. Does it because the company has something that is tax free like donation something or what that make it lesser? Thx
*
Nope, to talk good on government, you no need to pay in lumpsum every year. But the fact is, government has no money, so take your money to spend first shocking.gif
Anyway, for you to calculate it easier, you can estimate your total income with bonus and start do the maths. Usually it won't really run by a lot.

I did a check on the PCB 2016 table for the tax deduction on my salary range and noticed that the amount is actually higher than my income tax amt for 2015. The difference is about RM100. How is this possible? I thought the tax amt is supposed to reduce with the Budget 2016.

FYI, every year I get tax refund from IRB so it is definitely not because my company under deduct the monthly tax.

Anyone know a possible explanation?
*
PCB are just an estimated figures, the actual you still need to fill in the e-filling with all of your possible claims then only will come out the end results.

Question. 'mulai Tahun 2015' means the RM34,000 applicable for income tax year 2014 or 2015?
*
Nope, even your pay are only rm27000 a year you still need to register your self, this is to prevent any problem later on especially when you are applying loan.
As banks will take this as a consideration.

EA Form already serve the purpose for bank loan documentation for income group that is not liable to pay tax.
No. Just own parents.

Yes, you are pretty right on this, then IRB will send a love letter asking for a date whistling.gif

There's some truth on this, since the faster you submit, they faster those lazy jerks review your submission and you may get refund faster. but if you have to pay on top of the PCB, then no hurry to submit fast thumbsup.gif

Quick Question: Can we choose not to do e-filling for 2015?
Because for last year, we are choose not to do the e-filling and assume the PCB deduction by employer is correct.
*
IRB are very happy with such person, especially PCB deductions are more usually thumbsup.gif
And when you submitting any loan application, they can have a date with you icon_rolleyes.gif

called LHDN this morning, they told me the refund is in process. If not get it within 30 days from date of submission, they ask me to directly ask for the cawangan who handle my refund, in my case is cawangan shah alam.

i wonder is it the cawangan shah alam slow in this kind of process. I face the same issue with this last year.
*
Government no money now, refund sure slow, but if you need to pay them, you need to be fast.
Now I still need to pay them rm10000, they wanted me to pay within 4 months, after a long conversation, I managed to make it to 8 months shocking.gif

Just received this letter from lhdn.
So what they mean is they will check my file.
If nothing informed from them within 3 months. I can just call to ask for refund?

Or this is simply an excuse for them to delay payment?

[attachmentid=6221073]
*
How much they have to pay you back?
Usually i'll adjust till I pay them some, even is rm50 just to close their mouth.

filling in amount at "INCOME OF PRECEDING YEARS NOT DECLARED", doesn't add up the total income?

It will be straight following your previous year's tax bracket.

around RM600
I unable to call the Shah Alam Branch for the detail this morning (semua sibuk)

so I call 1800 LHDN general line, and the person help me check and notice I didnt enter my dividend taxable income even I have enter it in HK-6 form
In last year, when I enter HK-6, it auto populate the taxable income & tax paid from the HK-6 to the main form, but not this year.
This year it populate only the tax paid to main form but not the taxable income. So it turn out that they deduct the extra tax paid in total but no dividend taxable income.
ranting.gif
The official tell me to bring all my form to Shah Alam branch to settle, what a mess  rclxub.gif
*
That's little, meaning they really have no money and try to dig yor mistake.

QUOTE(sysy @ Mar 23 2016, 04:55 PM)
does this mean they will calculate at thier end and refund if there is extra tax paid for "preceding year"?
*
If your 2014's tax bracket is 26%, that areas payment say rm1000 you need to pay rm260. Usually the company will deduct PCB also.

Not sure if tis story is relevant.........
Few yrars ago. I was asked to go present receipts to lhdn before they can approve stated overpaid amount ..while there, the officer ask me to go do efilling instead of manuall submission. He said for efiiling, lhdn will do refund 1st before audit. While for manual filling, is audit b4 refund......
*
Just to correct some of your statement(basically are right) :
manual input, audit before refund.
e-filing, refund and randomly being pick for audit.
Both ways also you shall not over claim or claim wrongly as this will lead them to audit you.
