Just in case you want to install an under sink RO system, induction cooker, instant hot water faucet, food waste grinder or any future kitchen new invention that requires power under the counter.
May cost you Rm100+ now but it will be one the best RM100 investment for your home.

Temporarily I am using this at my rented condo... while waiting my new house to be done with the defects rectification from the developer side. My current condo has a POE also that serve the whole condo water supply. And they do water tank cleaning every few months. So the condo water is generally quite clean coming in. The POU just need to filter out any remaining from the old piping as the condo is quite old.

Once my house done will need to find a more permanent POE and POU for it.

Check water quality before installing PoE, not always required, unless water quality is really bad. And keep your dispenser, can convert it to PoU dispenser after wink.gif

I don't have a TDS meter. But in any case I will probably install POE regardless to protect the piping from any residual accumulation. I've seen how water pressure can drop in old house pipe as they start to accumulate dirt in it.

Yes, and also whether need to drink direct or want to boil anyway, since this affects the price as well.

and i dont get it.. why cuckoo give a service just once in 4 months? or maybe their products are cheaper than other brand?
i asked one of my friends, he said that cuckoo service are not really good
*
4 months is adequate for a regular service and bear in mind, each time Cuckoo service, the filter also change new ya.
Other brand may have frequent service i.e every 2 months but only change filter every 6 months once.

Some of my customer they dont like unknown people come to their house very frequent and i personally feels 4 months is just nice.
Regarding the bad service, if you can provide a bit of details on what service that would be very helpful.
Cuckoo always give best service to their customer and emphasize on beyond standard living with healthier and clean drinking water that fulfill that standard of World Health Organization. smile.gif

May I ask why do you need to change filters once every 4 months? Omnipure filters, made in USA, inline easily last for 1 year, rated for thousands of L of water. What are Cuckoo filters rated for?

World Health Organization.... Cuckoo promotes alkaline water, which was never approved by any scientist in this world. Does Cuckoo has any recognition from WHO? WHO defines most of tap water as safe to drink. BTW, another question, are Cuckoo cartridges NSF? I know Hyundai real Korean system has NSF cartridges and 100% made in Korea. Where are Cuckoo cartridges made (not designed, but actually made) and do they have any certification?

Yeah, Midea is like that, they do not have even 1/2 of their products listed on a website. Just assume it is original, no one would make fake Midea.

Anyway, if you receive that and it comes with ceramic filter (not original Doulton, but whatever) please do not install ceramic as pre filter. Ceramic filters are not meant to be pre filters, unless you want to change them every 2 months.

This is much better. I would recommend pleated cartridge though instead of melt blown as a pre filter, it can last 6 month to 1 year and then can be washed. It is surface filtration instead of in depth filtration

Err , for water filter better buy with some brand , not without any brand at all. Not asking to buy cuckoo/coway but at least the quality is good and your health is secured.
*
Agree, the issue with cheap, unknown filter is not only that it will not filter well, but some may leach more unpleasant chemicals in the water that passes through them. Gotta be even more careful with dispensers, since water can sit in dispenser for days.

What kind of fraud, Shopee/Lazada always protects you if you do not receive an order. When was the last time someone got cheated when shopping online, in 2009? And if you base your decision of salesman's speech at store then you are buying the item with highest commission to the salesman. Shopping is physical store = paying a lot more than online, having to deal with unprofessional salesmen. wasting your time.

Physical stores will die very soon, look at what happens in USA, where Amazon is killing most of the stores. It is starting in Malaysia as well, volume of online sales went up significantly since even 2016.

The only reason physical store exist is to go try the product, like shoes, shirt, computer chair. And even after that, can go and buy same product online much cheaper.

With all due respect, your questions sound very harsh as if Cuckoo is incapable BUT I will still answer to your questions with facts.
FYI, Cuckoo has been established since 1978.

First of all, I dont see any problem of replacing the filters once in every 4 months.
I'm getting new filter so why should i worry?

Moving on to Scientist part. I dont really get what you are trying to prove here. If thats the case then all item/product in this world must be proven by a so call scientist. And the price also will shoot high just because of this antics.

Next is recognition, Cuckoo also meets WHO standard, so why need recognition?

If you are not aware, just recently 18th June 2018, Cuckoo International is collaborating with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on a research study for the H2O Industrial Centre of Excellence with Cuckoo investing 10mil in this project. This shows that Cuckoo is determine to continuously produce healthier water for people resides in Malaysia. This is what we should be looking for rather than just selling.

Finally, the NSF, YES Cuckoo cartridges are NSF (refer to attachment below). Fully imported and made from Korea (refer to picture).

I give all my facts but i dont see one from you to support your comments.
It's often easier to give into cynicism, but those who choose to be positive set themselves up for success and have better reputations.
I'm not bashing or against any brand but explaining the truth. I respect every brand as they have their own standard of producing clean and healthy water.
As long as there is no case of health issue for that brand, it shouldnt be a problem for us to drink it.
Cuckoo and Coway have been in Malaysia/World for years and yet not a single case of people experiencing sickness/disease consuming it. So why worry much?
Lets stop spreading things that we also not sure, but educate more people to drink clean and healthy water. smile.gif
