Received a call from AA agent, and I managed to change my flight to Haneda instead, even can change the travel date to later for free. Took it and now syncing up with a couple of friends for RM400 cheaper smile.gif

Yup, I asked the agent on the phone and he say sure can change no problem, no charges.

My new flight is 2 weeks after the original.

So how is the process of changing date? You just tell them the date/time that you want and they do everything for you? What about additional charges like insurance/food/check-in luggage/seat choosing?

Yeah, just tell them what date you want for your new flight(s).

I got back my insurance and luggage weights I chose from my original flights. Didn't pick a meal or choose a seat so... you should ask.

so the choices of route change are:
1. KUL-DMK-NRT, reach 8am the next day
2. KUL-DMK-NRT, reach 7pm same day
3. KUL-HND and reach 10pm same day

is that right?

KUL to HND as plan was 10pm. But always reach 1030pm or 11pm. After clear custom, your chances miss the last train up to 70%.

Even I so well know to Haneda Airport also got 50% chances miss it if that day was busy day at custom section or busy runway.

Homework have to be done well.
Limosine bus info homework must be done.

I heard that booking separate flights (KL to Bangkok, Bangkok to Narita) is very risky because if any chance your first flight delayed and you miss the second flight, they will not reschedule your flight for you, is this true?

i reroute my KL-NRT to KL-HND (a day earlier), so basically plan is not affected, just need to pay for extra accommodation for the 1st night

I m looking at park royal haneda hotel..it's link to the airport.
Our 1st destination is to kawaguchiko lake, few question here:

1. The easiest way to travel from haneda to Kawaguchiko station is via Keihin bus right?
(instead of take train to shinjuku then to kawaguchiko by bus)
2. Can we reserve the bus ticket online? or I need to buy it from Bus Ticket Sales Counter in haneda? what time the sales counter close?
3. is there any toilet in the bus?

Travelling with small kid, nervous @__@

thanks in advance

1. Yes. Keihin got bus direct from Haneda to Kawaguchiko. But you need overnight at Haneda Airport one night.

2. Only you can read Japanese. Japan buses booking ticket website on English mode very problematic. Not 100% correct info.

3. No, but bus will schedule stop at highway rest area. From Tokyo to Kawaguchiko that near range. That will be one stop only.

Hi peeps, I am going to Japan in September and had drew up a travelling plan for myself. But the problem is I planned to walk at 90% of the time so my question is:

1) Are there any apps for iphone that works like GPS but does not require wifi or data to guide me to the location from my current location?

2) Or at least any ways to make sure that I am in the correct direction?

Because my NESW is not very good you see I am afraid that while I thought I was walking to Ginsei I was actually walking all the way to Tokyo Dome and things like that happen.
*
My advise are as follows:-

1. Be not afraid to ask people Japanese people. They are many of peeps outside there is willing to help you on direction. Although Japanese is shy especially when you speak foreign language (English) but indeed they are very helpful. Tips: Start you conversation with "Sumimasen" excuse me in Japanese to break the ice. brows.gif

2. Use MAPS.ME the Ultimate Offline map. I use this app a lot when I travel abroad especially in Japan. Quite useful when you sometime lost sense of direction especially when you come out from subway station's exit. nod.gif

If you have money you can stay in Excel Tokyu Haneda.

Otherwise stay at Toyoko Inn, last shuttle bus at 12:12 from International Terminal.

If miss bus can take taxi, not too far.

Even not far but taxi fare still expensive. Midnight rate .....est Rm200 around to reach Toyoko Inn.

Rm550 to reach Shinjuku.

Hope they allow me to transfer my narita flight to Hokkaido.
Then i no need to go through those troublesome connecting flights.
