There are 8 of us inclusive children. Travelling by mrt in singapore was already a hassle ended up using 2 taxis most of the time. Just wonder if anybody has got some answers to my questions. (Was told parking in melbourne city was expensive but ended up paying 50cent/ hr at the city centre). May rent the car to hakone and fuji area instead of inside the city itself.

Does anyone here visit Kyushu and use the SUNQ Bus Pass before? Can I purchase many and use it in a single visit in Japan?

Appreciate someone here can share their experience. Thanks.

Hi peeps, I am going to Japan in September and had drew up a travelling plan for myself. But the problem is I planned to walk at 90% of the time so my question is:

1) Are there any apps for iphone that works like GPS but does not require wifi or data to guide me to the location from my current location?

2) Or at least any ways to make sure that I am in the correct direction?

Because my NESW is not very good you see I am afraid that while I thought I was walking to Ginsei I was actually walking all the way to Tokyo Dome and things like that happen.

My advise are as follows:-

1. Be not afraid to ask people Japanese people. They are many of peeps outside there is willing to help you on direction. Although Japanese is shy especially when you speak foreign language (English) but indeed they are very helpful. Tips: Start you conversation with "Sumimasen" excuse me in Japanese to break the ice. brows.gif

2. Use MAPS.ME the Ultimate Offline map. I use this app a lot when I travel abroad especially in Japan. Quite useful when you sometime lost sense of direction especially when you come out from subway station's exit. nod.gif

A light jacket will suffice. Which part of Japan you will be visiting?

Hi, I'm planning for my first trip to Japan next February. I just have  a few lingering questions.

1. How much should I set aside? I don't eat/buy much, is 3-4k enough for domestic travel/accommodation/food?

2. This is my initial itinerary. Any thoughts/feedback are welcome!

1/2 Arrival Osaka-Tokyo
2/2 Tokyo
3/2 Tokyo-Hakone-Shizuoka
4/2 Shizuoka-Hamamatsu-Nagoya
5/2 Nagoya-Kyoto
6/2 Kyoto-Osaka
7/2 Osaka-Departure KUL

You will waste your money and time for such planning. Ended up you will not enjoy... 7 days should have just spend at Osaka/Kyoto only.
