Anyone flying in august - dec to Narita Airport via AirAsiaX?

I was browsing thru cari forum when I stumble upon news that AirasiaX Narita route is cancel for the mentioned period.

cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

So, I went to AA livechat and the officer in charge confirm with me that my booking is cancel. Travel period: 25/10/2015 - 1/11/2015

Anybody else can confirm this news?

I just contacted AirAsia. They said so far so they haven't consider refund  vmad.gif , only these 3 choices:

a) Re-route to Haneda Airport
b) From KL to Bangkok to Narita (seperate flight, no transit, means have to recheck-out, collect baggage, recheck-in, etc...)
c) Credit shell to your account to be used within 180 days

Very troublesome for me as
- Haneda -> very big changes in timing and my friends taking MAS so I wanted to sync up wit them
- Stop at Bangkok, I depart from Penang, so there's three separate flights for me  rclxub.gif
*
Yea, I am stucked as well rclxub.gif

- Haneda timing shakehead.gif
- KUL - BKK - NRT need to waste one day travelling...

not sure if we can opt kul-bkk-narita then haneda - kul or not. unsure.gif

May I know when is your flight?
Did they email you already?

Nope. She told me we can only expect an email in like, approximately one month before our flight  shakehead.gif , I told them this is not acceptable. What if people didn't check online and didn't know about the cancellation? Then she said  they will try their best but can't make any promise.  yawn.gif

My flight is on December 23rd and Jan 1st.
*
Same! My flight is 25 Oct - Nov 1, the girl told me my email will come in Mid August or End August the latest! shakehead.gif

But someone in cari forum flying in Dec managed to change their flight and receive confirmation for the new route already.

Now I also dunno what to do and dunno waiting for what. ohmy.gif doh.gif

I think no. Sorry, I remember her saying FOC but can't remember if that only applies for the KL-Bangkok-Narita route.
Actually, you can change the route now, providing that you are aware of the cancellation already,  just use LiveChat to contact them. She just said that the email (aka official announcement to every one who booked a flight) will be sent one month before the flight.
*
But she told me to reply them via email after receiving their email.
I think I will call them once I decided which route is better for me.

So, have you made up your mind which route you will be taking?
When they called me on Tuesday, they never mention the Haneda route.

Nope. I have to discuss with my friend. All choices have huge cons for me. I would rather they refund me and I book MAS instead.  mad.gif

Dammit, I very tulan now.  vmad.gif First time planning a trip myself and this shit happens.  yawn.gif
*
yalo, really tulan.
i scare after all the hoohas and i still cant board the flight only cry.gif *touch wood first*

For those who bought KUL-NRT AirAsia ticket and is taking a reroute via DMK, purchase your luggage before you change your schedule, so you don't need to pay extra luggage fees. The person I spoke to was really nice, and he asked me to buy luggage first before he changed the itinerary for me so I don't have to pay extra.

I'm taking an early flight to DMK, spending a day in BKK before going to airport again for the night flight. Might as well, since I'm stuck with this itinerary. wink.gif

Going back via Haneda Airport, so don't have to transit. So, play around with your options.

Hi,

They let you choose KUL-DMK-NRT and then HND - KUL?
Coz when I opted for this route, they say cannot and must choose the same route for both flights. shakehead.gif

he bought KL to NRT and HND to KL
both are separated
so it only affects his KL to NRT, his HND to KL is unaffected
*
ohh, no wonder!

after much deliberation, i have decided to choose KUL-HND-KUL route.
although the arriving time sucks but the departure time is much better than Narita route (even better than NRT-DMK timing tongue.gif)
so, imma go one day earlier and stay hotel nearby haneda airport (toyoko inn seems affordable at this moment), have a good rest and have all day the next day to explore icon_idea.gif

transiting in dmk and the long hours flight to nrt will be very much tiring. upon reaching will be 6-7ish am and have to explore tokyo already. i think by that time adee become zombie rclxub.gif

this whole cancellation of NRT route will be a blessing in disguise to me. extra day in Tokyo and extra hours in the airport duty free wub.gif
