dunno if this has been asked before.
what is the safest way NRT-HND and also HND-NRT, if the layover time is only 3 hours? Looking at ANA KUL-TYO-CTS return, which has an airport change in TYO.
If I booked in 1 itinerary, will ANA allow me to board the next available flight if I somehow miss the connection due to immigration/customs/traffic/1st sector delay etc?

Hi, did anyone ever purchase the Kansai Thru pass through this site http://www1.nanka-e-tabi.com/neren/ItemList.aspx?pno=2 ? I have checked with JTB Malaysia, they no longer sell the Kansai Thru Pass in Malaysia and asked me to buy in Kansai Airport.

How long does it takes to process the purchase at Kansai Airport? Can it be done in 15 mins? Coz I need to get 2 types of pass (KTP and Takayama Hokuriku Pass) done early in the morning at KIX's Nankai station and JR's office.

Thanks ya for the inputs and sharing.

>>my budget for makan for my coming trip rm300/2pac/day.. doable?

Yes, for 12D (12x3=36meals), Per pax, i allow breakfast Y600x12=Y7200; mid-range lunch/dinner Y1000x20=Y20000; and high range lunch/dinner (sushi etc) Y4000x4=Y16000;

total Y43200x2pax=Y86,400, say Y87000/36meals for 2 pax = rm258/2pax/day
>>i plan to bring only rm5k worth of yen for my 12day trip (makan/transportation/admission fee)

rm5K = <Y150000 for 12 days? i deeply DOUBT so for 2 pax!! if u meant bring rm 5K per pax, then OK..makan oledi Y87000(estimate), transport/ad fees very subjective la, if no go anywhere, maybe can.

don't count of credit card unless u all meals/ shoppe at 5-star
*
I would bring RM7k for our 10 days trip, purely on foods, entrance fees and transport(minus out the Takayama Hokuriku pass which I will buy in Malaysia).
And I will activate one or two Debit cards for ATM withdrawal just in case.

My budget is less than RM5K/pax (total cost exclude shopping) for 10D8N. Should be on track I think.

RegentCid and other daikors, what's the one place you'd go to have late breakfast / early lunch at Odaiba? Currently shortlist yotekko ya. But later night going shinjuku thinking of doing the touristy thing and eat at ichiran ... two Ramen meals a day seems overkill lol.

part of my cheapskate plan in Japan is dont want to use shinkansen but bus instead.
From my reading there is Willie bus that quite efficient.

Anyone has tried travelling from Osaka - Nara - Kyoto - Nagoya - Tokyo fully without JR pass?

dowan to drive coz only 2 pipel so driving is wasted.

Yes, need to activate in Malaysia for overseas ATM withdrawal. Hong Leong can activate yourself online. For other bank, just give the customer service a call.

After activation, can withdraw JPY from ATM with some charges. I heard the exchange rate is better than Money changer in Malaysia.
