i heard during autumn season, the crowd in tokufuji will be super scary.. should i just leave it to my day2 in kyoto and reach there very early?

Hi, all the sifu here, how about this in one day:

Fushimi Inari (start at 7am and spend 3 hours here and walk to the top)
Tofukuji (spend 2 hours to explore)
Lunch at Nishiki market - Take Keihan Line to Gojo-shijo station follow by 10 mins walk to Nishiki market. Or take City Bus 207 to 四条高倉. Which way is more convenient?

Nishiki market to Higashiyama district and Kiyomizu-Dera.

We wanted to stroll along also the Pontocho area in one of the evening for dinner. Is it expensive to dine here since this is one of the tourist spot?

Train always faster than Bus and train turn around time are more than bus.

Quick review on new ANA direct KUL <-> NRT flight - NH816, NH815

I will start will the cons as i can think of alot:
Cons:
- outbound 7am flight is abit early
- Flight serve breakfast as main course instead of lunch (I think lunch should be more appropriate in this flight)
- If you fly on weekday, you will reach Tokyo right at rush hour where people are going home.
- inbound flight reach klia at 11:30pm, taking taxi mean midnight surcharge
- inbound/outbound both is using bus for travelling between terminal and plane (feel like AirAsia)
- Business class specific :- You get to access PPL instead of star alliance lounge as they are not yet open
- The seat for the 787 is cradle instead of the cabin type for Singapore/Bangkok route

Pro:
- Not sure if this is something with Japan culture, but ANA service staff are all female
- They went all the way to get halal certification for the catering onboard
- Onboard entertainment have alot movie. eg. This month they have all 10 episodes of Hanzawa Naoki
- 787 is the best thing you can get currently comparable to THAI/SIA A380

In conclusion, i think this flight is not really recommended if your final destination is Tokyo.

Malaysia ANA timing are to match ANA New York Route. KL Tokyo New York Combo. That why you will feel weird if from KL to Tokyo only.

ANA flight I still prefer from Singapore. Timing are more perfect.

My No1 choice to Japan still Eva.

hi RegentCid, any tips of the month for December since i'm going to tokyo on the week of christmas.

I also will go to Hakone for a 1 day trip.

I got too many many many tips, dunno which to put.

My plan in Kobe town is to just try Kobe beef (lunch) and perhaps walk around short while that area around Sannomiya. Do you think is feasible for me to travel to Arima Onsen just to try out the onsen since it's my first time to Japan and plan to try it out. I'm only covering Kansai area this time and not going Tokyo.

But I check Hyperdia it takes about 40 mins to there and after that I plan go back Osaka straight which takes about an hour. Is it worth the travel to go there? I have no other plans in Kobe so I actually can afford the time. But all the way down there and just soak onsen for maybe 1 hour (at most?). The travel will it be worth it as in the experience and time?

PS : I'm not planning to hike Mt Rokko.
