Hi, is aircon usually connected via plug-and-socket or direct wiring? 1hp

If want direct wiring, the wiring can be hidden behind the aircon, correct?
*
It depends on your setup.

If you do wiring before move in will be easier to conceal wiring inside the walls to hide the power cables and connected to double pole switch something like that.

As direct wiring don't involve power head and it's connected to a switch.
Conceal need to hack wall and put wire inside then patch up and repaint according to your existing paint.

Hi,

Want to ask opinion.

My house already fitted with aircond pipe by developer.

If the pipe was made for 2.0HP, but I install 1.5HP, will there any effect?

sorry to say that despite my previous question and much helpful inputs by yall im still indecisive|

nowadays weather so hot giler sial i cant sleep properly these few nights, kept waking up every hour or so (more muscle mass = body radiate heat more easily = feels so hottt) and been very moody at work

criteria: 5 star energy rating, 1.5hp, quiet and durable (heard for inverters this circuit board thing gets spoiled easily after a few years so would want to avoid that too)

what model will yall recommend?

Edit: Ive decided to go for 1.5hp Panasonic X-Premium
2290+250 inslalation fee, 3+5 years warranty
What do y'all think?

What is the safe way to clean the compressor fin?

Can I just spray the compressor fin with a bottle pressure sprayer to wash away the dust?

replaced my daikin 1hp for my master bedroom to 1.5hp panasonic x-deluxe. Noticed that the new 1.5hp is not that cooling compared to the daikin 1 hp model. If I set to auto fan it will always blow at minimum level only unless i crank down to at least 22C. Even if I set the fan to full blast by 3-4am the room will be very stuffy and hot.. this is really weird.

another thing, i noticed the temperature sensor is inside a plastic tube. Is this normal or should I cut off the tip part? I'm wondering is it due to the sensor being in the tube causing the air con not cooling

It's normal, mine is exactly the same. My other room A/C(Hisense) I set to 24C, but for my Panasonic, I have to set it to 22C and the fan to medium.

Ask any A/C technicians and they will say Panasonic(inverter model) is famous for being not cold enough because they are very power saving.

On top of that, mine has this annoying vibration noise. Panasonic technicians came to my house 3 times and still unable to fix it. Now the warranty has ended and they told me to find my own technician to fix it.

anyone ever experiencing copper pipe which is concealed in the wall and running well for more than 5yrs and it suddenly leaked?

as the ac tech couldn't find any leak from indoor or outdoor unit, what is the best method to confirm if the leak is really from the pipe in the wall?

trying to get 2nd opinion before deciding the rectification method

Pressurize the pipes and you may be able to detect the leak with an ultrasonic leak detector

My mother's Haier 1HP Inverter ac suddenly displaying F1 error. According to google, it has something to do with the circuit board in the outdoor unit malfunctioning. Has anyone encountered this problem? If yes, how much to change this part? I believe the AC is about 2 years old.

Any effect if direct turn off power socket without first switch off with remote control? Notice they do that in the office as lazy to go turn off every single aircond.

If its an inverter better to turn off the IDU and wait 2 minutes before switching off the main supply, that will turn off the ODU. This ensure power is not cut off abruptly

Noted. So this only applies to inverter AC?

Do I really need to factor in 2nd floor?

My panasonic aircond was blinking red light today, on the app it show H99 error code “indoor freeze protection unit”, the app was showing 9C for indoor temperature reading too, where it should be showing around 20C-ish instead

It was blowing weak airflow last week and today totally not blowing any air anymore

Anyone got this problem before?
I have tried cleaning the air filter but it wasnt even that dusty too

I have to decide now for ACs in my currently renovating house.

Should I go for Daikin or Panasonic? They are going to be 2.5HP and 1.5HP units.
