Hi guys
Looking to purchase my first aircond to be installed in my room (weather so hot to the point I lie down on my bed at 11pm, bed's warm and I'm all sweaty in a minute, bad sleeps recently)

Currently top choice is Daikin ftkp35av1mf

Looking to get an aircond with 5 star energy rating, 1.5hp, in 2500 bucks

Any better suggestions?

How big is your room? Maybe 1hp enough?

I did my rough research, seems like higher btu is better as the aircond won't get strained all the time, better and efficient cooling thus better lifespan

1.5 is like the sweet spot, I might be wrong though

1. I only have experience with Midea inverter from 2016, experience not great. Out of 3 units 1 died and since passed the compressor warranty I just gotten a Haier inverter to replace end of last year. Not long enough experience to say Haier inverter good or not.

2. I advocate cheapest non-inverter Haier & Hisense cause that’s what I have/own. Yes, Hisense most basic model outdoor compressor is noisier than Panasonic inverter.

3. Best you compare spec sheets to look at dB of the outdoor unit. Too many models to compare.

4. My Mitsubishi Electric JR non inverter is also quite noisy in a back to back installation for my gym room. So being able to identify the installation spot also matters.

If it’s mission critical area e.g bedroom I advocate inverter for better temperature regulation and going with Acson if the price difference isn’t significantly more than Hisense/Haier/Midea. No point choosing the China mari if there’s no savings.
Very expensive. China 1.5HP inverters ~RM1.5k can find. I bought my Panasonic 2HP inverter CS-S18TKH for RM2580 in 2018. So 2500 for 1.5hp is quite expensive. I added the dongle for WiFi for RM199. If you’re willing to spend then sure.
Yes for inverter oversize is fine. Look at the btu output range. It can mimic a 1hp even tho it’s a 1.5hp. Just don’t oversize too far. If 1hp already too big for the room, 1.5hp inverter won’t help.

Thanks for your input. I'm looking for the ones that's energy efficient and lasts long without all the dramas, price wise a little pricy is fine as long it fits the two mentioned criteria, would like to know what brand/model would you recommend?

Preferably 5 star energy rating and 1.5hp

sorry to say that despite my previous question and much helpful inputs by yall im still indecisive|

nowadays weather so hot giler sial i cant sleep properly these few nights, kept waking up every hour or so (more muscle mass = body radiate heat more easily = feels so hottt) and been very moody at work

criteria: 5 star energy rating, 1.5hp, quiet and durable (heard for inverters this circuit board thing gets spoiled easily after a few years so would want to avoid that too)

what model will yall recommend?

Edit: Ive decided to go for 1.5hp Panasonic X-Premium
2290+250 inslalation fee, 3+5 years warranty
What do y'all think?
