So should we take up the extended warranty or not?

3k a bit pricey leh....but then if anything spoil after 3 years of usage....headache pulak....

The double din for hybrid and optional for 2G is it the same unit ?

Different unit

extend the car warranty for 2 more years for RM3k. Downside of this package is you cannot missed or exceed every service date or mileage that Toyota set. If missed or exceed the mileage, RM3k burn. Once signed, next service is subsidize up until RM500++.

Message UMW to see if they will make it free. Or at rm3k in service credits. New hybrid price is the same and they continue to give rebates. If owners do servicing for 2 more yrs they also get more business.

Loving it so far.
I know its just me, but is there another way to have an iPod connected and still manage to close the cover of the place. Finding it annoying i have to leave it open in order to use iPod.

So much for being loyal customer of toyota. i sent message to them asking for some discount or perhaps the payment for the purchase of the 2 years extended warranty converted into service credit. i just got one sentence reply from them.

"There is no applicable discount for Merit customers."

Too bad our car is not some kind of telco service which can "port out" with minimum damage.

Customer loyalty seems like no longer important to big corporation in this country.

It will be my first and last car from Toyota.

Compared to your first toyota with my whole family with toyota since 1990 really hurts.

Thank you for your feedback. Whilst it is our conscious effort to ensure that our offerings reflect our endeavour to meet all of our customers’ expectations, the 5-Year Warranty is available only to new vehicles registered from 1 April 2016.

Nevertheless, we've developed a special package which our existing customers can purchase to extend their vehicle warranty for an additional 2 years. This offer is valid until 30 September 2016.

For your Toyota Camry Hybrid, it will be RM2,990 to purchase the 2-Year Extended Warranty. This entitles the vehicle owner to one (1) Free Maxcheck Advance service package as well. For the Toyota Camry Hybrid, this package is valued at up to RM459.

To make it convenient for our customers, payment by instalments is also offered over an Extended Payment Plan (EPP) readily for CIMB credit card users.

Bought last without any rebates or discount from UMW. No they call to say it is their strategy to do more business. I said customers supported you first paid full price. Now you have rebates n 5yr warranty for new customers n you want to continue milking us, old customers. You gain new but you loose old. It is a loosing strategy.

I wish i have never bought this car. Overall the car technology is good, but rattling sound from front dashboard, plasticky sound from side when brake, go over bumper, uneven sound and rattling sound also from behind. It is stressful to drive with all these sound, sometimes i try volumn the music, they still can slip into my ears. It is worse than my 15 years old wira. I have went to sc for rattling sound issue for at least 6 or 7 times, alot times wasted. It is really a shame when driving with my friends, they said wow , your car is 170k and this kind of quality.

If u can bear with strange sound while driving u may buy it, who know u are the lucky one and u might get the new camry without these problem. The idea of selling it off have flash a few times in my head. In future no more umw ckd car for me.

Sorry to hear that for the rattling sound issue. Not only Camry Hybrid CKD, Honda Accord CKD even some CBU cars have the rattling sound issue. It is just how serious is the issue. It is very annoying when the D-segment car is selling at 170k with such poor build quality. However there are still a lot of Camry Hybrid on the road. Thanks for your precious thought sharing. Despite the rattling sound problem try to enjoy this car as much as possible. Undeniably this is one of the best price value car in this segment.

My friend and ex boss have previous generation camry that it is so nice to travel. Quiet and comfortable. That make me wanna get a camry, but pre facelift model outlook is unacceptable to me. This is one .... Haizz

My drive back to home town cheng ming is a disaster, rattling sound for long journey cannot be enjoy at all.

My wife is driving honda hrv ckd, her car is much much quiet than my camry. My thought is maybe honda malaysia produce more cars, they might have proper quality control and standard procedure, and maybe much better facilities to help worker to asdemble the car as compare to umw just assemble 7 or 8k car a year, they might not invest so much in their plant as compare with honda which assemble few times more than umw toyota, so honda might produce better ckd. This is just my wild thought.

I m writing this hopefully someone who plan to buy will reconsider their decision.

May i know what kinda rattling noise? So far after 5mths of ownership everything is good. Except the rear left passenger back seat is rubbing against the airvent for the hybrid battery. SC readjusted the seat and noise reduced. However, me being sensitive to noise. Applied vaseline to smooth the contact now no more squeeky sound whenever there is somebody sitting at the back left seat.
