Planning to buy the Camry Hybrid 2.5 this year.
Any main problem or issue encounter by this Hybrid beside the rattling sounds from Dashboard, Rear seat, door, etc... and the water leak into rear lamp?

How is the maintenance fees for this hybrid ? Any full schedule maintenance price is thankful and helpful for a reference here.

Roof insulation is very poor.

Y do u say so?

You can feel the intense heat coming from roof during the day.

I find that after 9 mths the aircon is not as cold while i feel more heat. Not sure if it is the roof or the tinting. Will try check on the roof.

my complaint about roof is noise during rain. So far UMW service center claim only 2 complaints.

I didnot experience rattling. Just wind noise and door movement over bumps or pothole. Door fitting alignment is not even n not adjustable.

Will do 20k service in 2 mths. First 3 is ok. But i feel it should be capable of 15k service interval. US is doing 10k miles whichbis 16k km.

Wow that is great without rattling sound from dashboard. The door alignment is not correctable? Too bad.
What about other issues such as water leak into tail light?

I heard that the new Vios owner also complain that and they got a noise insulating layer installed under the roof FOC from the SC in Penang.

A pillar gap is about half of the other side n sc couldnot do much. The adjustment lead to misalignment at b pillar. And the weatherstrip is squeezed. So as them to reverse a little. Else diificult to shut.

Water in tail light, seem to me it is not in the light. Only on the edge of cover. Look like it has a small void area that will trap moisture.

Still trying to resolve the rattling sound from the rear end...been making repeated trips to the service center at Sg Buloh.

Seems like there has been lots of body rattling related problems with the Camry Hybrid....even the brake pedals are noisy.

Fairly disappointed with the purchase so far, coming from and older model of Camry which remained solid after 7 years.

I believe the rear noise if from the ceiling. one of the owner managed to solve it. I had the noise and able to replicate it when hitting the ceiling board with some force (rear end passenger side). hope this helps

It is coming from the roof. I also have this issue. Will feedback to Toyota this coming service.

Don't think it is coming from the room....the sound seems to come from the left rear speaker. Also, we thought the sound was coming from the boot bonnet bars underneath, but that was ruled out. The back seat safety belt thingy located in the boot also has a ball bearing which rattles when you strike it.

Essentially, lots of things that could have caused the rattling sound.

Will get them to check on the roof again.

Hey guys, I'm going to pick up my car this week. Any tips for engine run in? I didn't see anything about running in the engine from the US Hybrid manual (couldn't find Malaysian manual online). Any tips and hints appreciated. Cheers!!!

1st 1k don't go beyond 160km.

CKD with low assembling quality compare to 7 years old camry which is a tank !
Nowadays even CBU cars have rattling sounds. It seems like this is a norm in car industry?
Except for those luxury and high-end conti cars.

Even the CKD conti sucks these days...

the reason is 140kmh is very easily archivable on this car. slightly floor it and you already exceed 100kmh.
