Fuel economy is great. But I find the onboard ecu is under reporting the consumption by 0.3-0.5L/100km. I can average 5.5-6.5L/100km for the tank of 45+L. Per trip below 6L. But if battery is to low it will go charging and go up to 6.5+. Drove 250km on mixed locals and got 5.5. Another 100km got 4.8. I think the average is only accurate if the battery is more than 4bars. Else the next trip will be very high in consumption.
Going over uneven or bumps that case one side to go up or down seem to cause the driver side door to move a little. I hear the rubber noise on the door. |

Anyone having the low beam on the right side being lower? When the projected light is at the far end it shows a Z edge. Service center adjusted but still the same.
Driver side door can hear the seal rub when going thru uneven road or left side up or down. A little like a twist in the chassis. |

QUOTE(Sh@rty 5 @ Oct 31 2015, 11:56 PM) Went to UMW service center to complain they agree it is noisy. Then when I went for the insulation install appointment, hq want to compare with another car. The result is both car is the same so won't install. Their reason is this car already have medium insulation. Plus nobody had complained. Wasting my time. My other 2 complains are wind noise at 100km/h. 1st time bring in to sales center the service advisor say it is by design for aerodynamic. 4th time bring in to UMW only lowered by 70%. After adjusting door becomes tight. I also found door frame gapping at side mirror not even. Tail pipe not with bumper space, they can't adjust. |

Various settings can be selected for door locking and unlocking.
I set mine to lock when I shift out of P. Unlock all doors if I open driver door from inside(if engine is on, only driver door is unlock. A little inconvenient) From outside the handle sensor will only unlock driver door. As I normally don't have passengers. Default is unlock all doors. When I have others riding with me then use remote to unlock. |

3rd service they used synthetic oil. Switched from where I bought and now they don't overfill the oil. Was able to get below 5l/100km for a few drive. But only possible if it is is flat road with more than 10km distance.

QUOTE(stimix @ Dec 6 2015, 08:42 AM) The low fuel indicator starts to flash too early in hybrid. i e at 1/4 level empty. At that level, u still can go for another 100km more. Well for me I go till 1-2 bars when the distance to empty showing ~50km left to ba safe Mine has come on between 15-17L left. Manual state less. Can't remember exactly maybe like 10L. |

QUOTE(inzp1992 @ Dec 26 2015, 07:29 PM) Hey guys, i need your help I need the sifus to run me through again on a few things 1) how to find the 'range' so we know how much left km to run on petrol Menu-Information-Eco-Consumption. 2) if the camry's light is automatic level so which means our light beams are always set at a low level Means it is optimized for the distance that is illuminated. Auto High beam only turns on above certain speed and when there is no light for road ahead. You can turn on and off manually. 3) the hybrid battery itself does not seem to last long - are you guys feeling the same ? Varies is condition, charge level, road gradient, electrical load like lights, a/c, radio, accessories. 6bars on the display can have different usage range as I discovered it can charge much longer to get to 7 bars. So sometimes I get longer battery use in 6bars before dropping to 5bars. Temperatures play a role too. I have had occasion where it will drop 1bar when I get in the car in the afternoon or evening. Even over night. Thanks guys |

QUOTE(funnyboyz9999 @ Mar 17 2016, 02:46 AM) Planning to buy the Camry Hybrid 2.5 this year. I didnot experience rattling. Just wind noise and door movement over bumps or pothole. Door fitting alignment is not even n not adjustable. Any main problem or issue encounter by this Hybrid beside the rattling sounds from Dashboard, Rear seat, door, etc... and the water leak into rear lamp? How is the maintenance fees for this hybrid ? Any full schedule maintenance price is thankful and helpful for a reference here. All the camry Sifus and Owners please share your precious thoughts and experiences here. Thanks a lot for helping !! Will do 20k service in 2 mths. First 3 is ok. But i feel it should be capable of 15k service interval. US is doing 10k miles whichbis 16k km. |

QUOTE(funnyboyz9999 @ Mar 18 2016, 10:43 PM) Wow that is great without rattling sound from dashboard. The door alignment is not correctable? Too bad. A pillar gap is about half of the other side n sc couldnot do much. The adjustment lead to misalignment at b pillar. And the weatherstrip is squeezed. So as them to reverse a little. Else diificult to shut. What about other issues such as water leak into tail light? Water in tail light, seem to me it is not in the light. Only on the edge of cover. Look like it has a small void area that will trap moisture. Morning start occasionally rough. |

QUOTE(akira982443 @ Mar 22 2016, 12:28 PM) the reason is 140kmh is very easily archivable on this car. slightly floor it and you already exceed 100kmh. I didnt go past 140km/h till after 10k fully synthetic oil change. I find that it slightly better mileage after 10k. 0.1-0.2l/100km. Occassionally getting below 5l/100km when i dont intentionally regulate the accelerator. Seem like it is better for me just drive naturally. 2k to 20k service. |

QUOTE(tribaleps @ Mar 23 2016, 10:59 AM) Managed to get the rattling sound sorted out....for now. According to the mechanic, the sound came from the 'bars' in the rear bonnet. He's made some adjustments to it....Let's see after a week's driving. Sounds like the spring bars for the trunk.....In the mean time, other sounds are starting to creep up. |

QUOTE(akira982443 @ Apr 9 2016, 02:42 PM) extend the car warranty for 2 more years for RM3k. Downside of this package is you cannot missed or exceed every service date or mileage that Toyota set. If missed or exceed the mileage, RM3k burn. Once signed, next service is subsidize up until RM500++. Message UMW to see if they will make it free. Or at rm3k in service credits. New hybrid price is the same and they continue to give rebates. If owners do servicing for 2 more yrs they also get more business. |

QUOTE(akira982443 @ Apr 10 2016, 02:51 PM) Bought last without any rebates or discount from UMW. No they call to say it is their strategy to do more business. I said customers supported you first paid full price. Now you have rebates n 5yr warranty for new customers n you want to continue milking us, old customers. You gain new but you loose old. It is a loosing strategy. |

QUOTE(nkhong @ Apr 15 2016, 02:06 AM) The dashboard fix one sound another sound come. They adjust here and there and change bracket as well. From the side i am not sure whether it is door, plastic movement sound whenever brake, or go over bump, uneven road. From back i am not sure where the sound come from, but it come and go. My driver side door also have noise when going over bump or turning. Almost feel like the door is loose or the chassis twist too much. SC just put rubber lube and squeak is gone for about 8 mths then came back. Other noise I am not experiencing. Recently got some noise in the back but I suspect is things in the trunk. Road noise increased after 6mths as well. now radio at 7 can't hear when car is running. Stopped will be ok. |

QUOTE(Michelleng @ Apr 15 2016, 02:02 PM) Hopefully mine will continue to run without rattling or noise issue. Nowadays new cars all quality quite bad. My mom w204fl straight roll out of showroom rear right door cannot close tightly without using more force to close it. Opening also requires more force. As for the other 3 doors it uses the same force to open and close. Mercedes replaced the entire door during 1st service. If the hinge mount is out of alignment then whole door need to replace. At least they did it and not try to adjust n bend to fit. |
