ported from maxis since end of May 2015.. exactly same situation as how TS went through.

1. drop call / miss call
2. no coverage
3. data showing full 3G/H/H+ but connection keep reset
4. Areas including Tun Razak (office), Home (ampang), TT (wmaju)

some ppl do may face this ... i think we all mind set already that celcom provide the best coverage until their slogon last time also mention "sky and ground also can".

luckily mostly the area i at all with vy good celcom signal. i was mAdvance68 with them for the past 1 year so for sure i convert to this plan the 2nd day they launch this. so far no issue for me. only the beginning stage celcom capped the speed to 7.2mbps but starting May this no longer an issue for me. i can even hit over 60mbps at some place.

Maxis doesn't seem to be shaken by all these cheap promos though. Haha

I guess the game has changed a little where data network is more important these days, even for calls people are starting to use WhatsApp calling and so on.

For Maxis, without doubt their 3G is pretty matured and 4G is way ahead of their competitors. If consistency in data and monthly payment is not an issue then better to stick with Maxis for the time being.

it is a case of overpromise and overselling, sometimes misleading as well. if all goes according to plan, celcom38 very good. now with magic sim, even better.

Very tempted to port from Digi to this Celcom plan until I see this thread.

Anymore users out there who can comment on this?Does it only affect this particular plan? I have never used Celcom before because their plans are always expensive, but they have good coverage especially on islands, which I travel to often.

just contacted them online and this is what I got

celcom: Sorry to inform you that currently we are having some network issue.
me: how long will that be?
celcom: Sorry, we unable to provide the exact time the problem will be solved.

LOL.... looks like a result of over selling

well not only they are over selling they also have stupid charges.

I told them I did not receive their bill but only a sms informing I have overdue bill, then they said if I want them to send the bill to my address I would be charged. Well I think its fair for this but then when I said I do not want the paper bill, just send it in pdf to my email will do, at least I know when the bill is out and amount to pay and surprisingly she also said for this also I will be charged!

is anyone getting this same shit from celcom or is this just isolated case?

Should be the 'fast dormancy' effect, it switches to low power UMTS and when there's activity it needs to switch back to HSPA.

I'm celcom owner since 1998...
In 2011 mnp to uM
In 2015 mnp back to celcom

I've no issue with basic38 from day 1 registered.
- stay at sg buloh, no data isu, call or sms but hp set to 3g only
- work at KL near puduraya, no isu too but hp set to 3g only
- go back parent house at keramat, no isu too but hp set to 4g only
- go back in-law house at kedah, no isu too but hp set to 3g only

Frm my exp, if i force speed selection manually, less drop happened compare to auto...
I only set to 4g if that area got 4-5 bar 4g signal & set to 3g if 4g signal got 1-3 bar...

In summary, 90% of my network selection is 3g compare to 4g...
I'm using cheap Lenovo hp as a daily use...

Next is to mnp my wife to digi36 by end of this mth.
She needs more minutes due to always call her parents.

Previously uM doesn't has coverage in my in-law home at Kedah. Only celcom, maxis n digi. That's why i mnp to celcom.
uM is good in city but failed in village area...
