I realized that on Monday and Thursdays, around 3-5pm I can actually get the 218.208 IP range. Last week, this IP range was super. On average, 300-600ms in game. But this week different, I'm getting 550-1000ms at prime time and 400-600 after midnight. Go figure.

Previously i was using a USB ADSL modem, it worked fine with the computer and WoW ofcuz ...

Out of a sudden, our great TMNet seems having problem with their side where i was always getting a 'bad' IP which got me a very high ping when i tried to online WoW....so what i did was, disconnect/reconnect until i got a 'good' IP which allowed me to played WoW at a low latency.

The problem is, my great great computer restarted every now and then so i kept losing the 'good' IP which i've tried 1001 times to got it; because whenever my computer restarted the USB modem got reset also.

And now i've changed to a non-USB modem, question is how do i set my modem to auto connect so that it won't lose out the IP?

p/s: do i need a router? i have one but dunno how to set it up.

Anyway this is my ping :-

1 5 ms 1 ms 1 ms 10.0.0.2
2 39 ms 38 ms 26 ms 219.93.218.177
3 17 ms 16 ms 17 ms 219.93.216.109
4 17 ms 17 ms 16 ms 219.93.155.33
5 18 ms 17 ms 17 ms 210.187.132.83
6 17 ms 16 ms 17 ms 219.93.174.67
7 310 ms 310 ms 309 ms 219.93.153.158
8 3224 ms 3251 ms 3276 ms 12.118.44.5
9 3172 ms 3160 ms 3202 ms 12.123.8.50
10 2267 ms 2274 ms 2284 ms tbr1-cl4.sl9mo.ip.att.net [12.122.10.30]
11 2505 ms 2473 ms 2511 ms tbr2-cl2.sffca.ip.att.net [12.122.10.42]
12 3230 ms 3221 ms 3226 ms gar3-p370.sffca.ip.att.net [12.123.13.161]
13 3212 ms 3176 ms 3180 ms mdf1-gsr12-2-pos-7-0.lax1.attens.net [12.122.255
.254]
14 2685 ms 2653 ms 2650 ms mdf1-bi8k-2-eth-1-1.lax1.attens.net [12.129.192.
242]

What i've noticed was if my hop 8 does give me less than 1K, then i can play WoW with no problem, but if it gave me like 3K+, like what i've paste above, then i'll prolly getting 3K in-game ping.

A little advice. If you're trying for the 218.208 or the 219.95.xx ip, try it in the morning. Morning as in 6am in the morning up to 12pm in the afternoon. That's the best time to "fish" for that ip. Other than that time, its almost impossible to get it. Tried it for hours at night and midnight. No luck. Sleep and wake up in the morning, got it in just a few tries.

anyone know of any broadband ISP with quality service here in malayisa? I am so fed up with TMnet man. They just keep increasing customers by lying and not improve service.

My guildmate from Australia is using broadband 512kbps package also and he is constantly at the 200 ping range man... WTF, knnccb

Hello ..

IMO i feel like 600-800 ping isn't that bad (under WiFi see pic) ... This is what i always get when i play at my office tongue.gif Boss will kill me if he finds out biggrin.gif and when i'm at home I averagely get my latency of 300-400. It's not that bad at all. For me i'm pretty happy with the connection but it seems like everyone here is experiencing the opposite. I'm not IT savy kinda guy but do you think location would have affect the problem ?

Somehow there's another friend of mine from cheras as well.. His connections also stable as mine. My requirement may not be high but what is an ideal latency to play wow using Tmnet .. Of course the lower the better .. but what kinda range are we talking about ? from 200-300 ? 300-400 ? .....

Its hitting up to 1000 this morning.
Using the 218.111 ip range. Not sure how I fished that up.
As for 12:45am onwards, I had the same problem happen to me the other day, it spiked up to 20k for at least 30 minutes before going back to normal again.
