hmm. so what some of u are saying that 218.111.x.x ip is good to play wow? my recent connections to streamyx allow me to get 60.49.x.x, 60.50.x.x, and 218.111.x.x ips.

if 218 is indeed good then i might want to start back biggrin.gif my copy of wow is collecting dust. how bout 60.49 and 60.50 ips? are they any good? btw to me any latency below 1k is acceptable. 300-700 is good. and are there any lag spikes?

my guildmate said that the 60.50.xx.xxx ip is good , u may start on that ,for other ip if the latency is high like 2kms, just make sure to relog until the third ip range is a 2 digit number then it will be fine.

Has anyone actually spoken to streamyx about this? I mean if we can't play games doesn't that mean the service is not functioning properly?

Does anyone actually know why this is happening? Because it used to be working fine before.

For those who stuck with 219.95.xxx.xxx ip address , there is still a way to get 400ms-900ms latency , the trick is, u must relog until u get an ip address with the third ip range is a double digit number ,that mean try get this 219.95.22.xxx , not this 219.95.333.xxx.

This also beneficial to all others ip , 218.111 / 218.208 etc.

hmm this seems quite accurate~ i've been on these ips and they seem to work. 218.111.* has always been good for me. been getting 500-600 consistent

60.50, ok in the morning, a total joke at peak hours. 60.48 is like Streamyx's abomination that shouldnt be born in the first place. 60.49 is fine, FINE sigh, only by Streamyx standard.

hmm.. looks like lot's of issues about the lag.. and considering that only the 60.xx. range and 218.xx range is affected... it probably means that IPs from our area is being bottlenecked. Not sure by who, tmnet or blizzard... How bad is it anyway? thinking of getting WoW but after reading through this thread... kinda put me off.. any recommendations from you guys who actually play the game? which server has the most oceanic population?

oceanic? i gues that would be blackrock, but that server is on high pop now.

usually wow is playable, just that this month streamyx had been having a lot of problems.

Anybody else's 219.95.xx.* connection - i.e. where the third octet is a 2-digit number - running today at 900-1k+ latency instead of 500-700 like in the past few days?

Thank you for your feedback. Our automated feedback system has forwarded to us
for our attention and reply.

Mr. Chin, referring to the above, we would like to advise you to proceed with
some basic troubleshooting, in order for us to streamline the issue that you are

2) Stand alone connection, from wall socket to modem (No parallel line).

3) Flush DNS
a) For Win 98/ME:-
- Click Start button, go to run.
- Type "winipcfg" and then click OK.
- Select your network card name from the adapter drop-down menu.
- Click on Release button.
- The IP address should display 0.0.0.0. Then click Renew All
- Click OK to close the window.

cool.gif For Win XP/2000
- Click on start Button, go to run.
- Type "command", click ok.
- Type in "ipconfig /flushdns", then press Enter.
- Make sure the result is "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver cache".
- Type exit and press Enter to close the window screen.

4) Switch off the modem, unplug/ re-plug all cables, wait for 5 to 10 minutes
before switching on the modem.

5) Create new Dialer and configure DNS
- (Preferred DNS Server: 202.188.0.133 /Alternate DNS Server: 202.188.1.5).

6) Reboot computer and the modem.

7) Conduct bandwidth test from our website as follows :

the method that they told you NEVER, i mean NEVER ( 0 OUT OF 1000 TRIES ) ,i think it is a very unprofessional way to simply shut the mouth of the customers, streamyx.

It seems like there are times that i can get into the 218 ip range, like in afternoon, after that no matter how many times i reconnect, it won't work anymore.

and the problem is, why is the 219 is still giving such HORRIBLE service after weeks ( yes WEEKS ) . don't ever try to tell your oversea wow buddies about it, it is a Shame.
