So far, each time they have a maintenance, I get this problem and won't be able to play properly the next day. Usually gets better on Thursday though. Really weird. And I thought that I'm the only one since my friends keep telling me that there's no problem.

So its their side. Noticed something after playing it for a whole day.
Latency is only high in the evening up until pass midnight around 1am - 3am. It gets better closer to morning. Kinda explains why its so smooth when I wake up early and play compared to playing it after work. |

Still surviving so far. Still can take on 1 on 1 and same level monsters. But I die when I get mobbed and vanish or blind powder is not ready. We'll just have to keep on trying to get that ip that they are talking about above. I'm definitely not going to shut down pc if I do get it...
Either that or you can play early in the morning and during the day. Its only terrible at night it seems, which is usually US working hours. |

I'm getting it here at Desa Petaling and my friend is facing the same problem in Cheras. However, another friend of mine in Subang near SJMC there is not facing any problems. Still trying to get other ips that don't start with 219.xx but to no avail. By the way, what dns are you all using? I'm using the following:
Prefered : 202.188.0.133 Alternate : 202.188.1.5 Its getting really tedious to play with such lag day in and day out. |

Thanks. I'll post it here in this post once I get home.

I still got the same thing. Though not as bad as yours but I'm seeing 4k latency on my side. This is madness. I'm going to go crazy this weekend.

Usually remote not respond is because the streamyx in that area is down. Switch down or something. I can't recall. You'll have to wait it out as they are fixing it. If not just call in and lodge a report so they know about it. If you're lucky, it'll be back in no time. If not, wait for next day.
Guess I'm going to try a few times tonight to get that elusive 218 range again. 219 range is not working for me at all. 1k-2k pings constant. Its always good in the morning. That's when I check my auctions. But when I reach home to play at night, its the same old story. |

Still in the office. No chance to try it out. Besides that, last I checked, Zul'jin is still down for maintenance. Most probably have to play on Proudmoore tonight.

Does our streamyx come with a dial up account? If this goes on I think I'll clear the dust on my 56k and play on a dial up until they fix our broadband connection. Getting bored of 3 sec delay in my attacks. Nowadays its almost reaching 5 secs delay even with 2k ping. Its like something is wrong with my uploading speed.

Same here as well. Getting 400-600 latency yesterday.
Omg. Thank you tmnet for finally fixing it and thanks to everyone that worked hard on complaining to them. |

Maybe its not tmnet this time
It sometimes happens when they are about to take down the server for maintenance. Seems pretty effective to kick people out of the server. |

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Mar 31 2005, 06:26 PM) Ah... effective in kicking us out of the server then. Faced that before just before the server was about to go down for maintenance. My friend and I was just so close to kicking Van Cleef's ass and then the major lags started to weigh down on us. |

Got home to check. Its 2000 ping again outside game.
Cannot play. I give up. Guess I'll go watch a movie. Update: 12:16am and it just hit a whopping 5000 latency while my friend in subang is playing with 500 latency. Way to go Tmnet.... This post has been edited by Tatty: Apr 1 2005, 12:12 AM |

Trying to use public proxy servers to play.
Do you think its possible? Its only like 100ms to the proxy in Japan. Going through there should route us through different gateways I think which I hope is better than the one we're using. I'm not sure if this works. Any comments? |

I just got 1.4k this morning ever since the BG patch.
Would you believe a rogue that can't even stop someone from capturing the flag when he is right in front of you? I feel so humiliated. |

Just noticed spike lags for Cheras and Seri Petaling areas. Its hitting 3k pings this morning. Be prepared for another round of laggy WoW for those living in this areas.

I can never get on the 218 ip ranges or even the 219.94 ip in my area. It has always been 219.95. About to give up soon and play other games until it gets better. Either that or a change of isp. Heard about Jaring Wired Broadband from a friend of mine. Wonder if I should be a guinea pig.

A little advice. If you're trying for the 218.208 or the 219.95.xx ip, try it in the morning. Morning as in 6am in the morning up to 12pm in the afternoon. That's the best time to "fish" for that ip. Other than that time, its almost impossible to get it. Tried it for hours at night and midnight. No luck. Sleep and wake up in the morning, got it in just a few tries.

Its hitting up to 1000 this morning.
Using the 218.111 ip range. Not sure how I fished that up. As for 12:45am onwards, I had the same problem happen to me the other day, it spiked up to 20k for at least 30 minutes before going back to normal again. |
