Just got a LG 29UM68. Anyone having the same model mind to share your color settings? I'm comparing it side by side to my Dell S2340L and pretty disappointed with the LG monitor.
Not sure if it's due to the low resolution 2560 x 1080 on a wide screen or maybe due to the matte screen compared to the dell glossy screen.
The color just look so pale and uninviting.
Edit : Nevermind. Fixed it using ICC profiles. It looks amazing now!

I have never experienced curve nor UW so idk. Is the big price gap able to justify the functionality and utility?
My usage: - Casual World of Warcraft - Web design and coding - Photoshop - Web browsing
I am very used to dual screen which my current setup is 24" 16:9 and a 17" 4:3 on my left. While I game, I open browser on my 17" for reference (wowhead.com) While I work, I open browser for code reference, kinda want to have a 3rd monitor for code comparison purpose.

Thanks for the link.
I've not experienced curved ultrawide as well, but i've read somewhere as long as you sit right at the center, everything is fine.
Dont know if the curved ones are worthy for the extra bucks compared to the normal ultrawide ones but in my opinion it's better to invest the extra bucks for a monitor with more resolutions, say 2560x1440 since you're doing coding and photoshop.

And your eyes adapt to it quite quick ( for me few days and I forgot it's curved ) Advantages of curved was that when viewing object of far left/right, it's not awkward.
Aiming for curved ultrawide but the price...hnnngggh!!! Maybe will wait long long when the price goes down to 1-1.5k range then will buy ><
EDIT: Curve and no curve actually does not have a lot of differences. It helps in viewing angle and better aesthetic only. But I was aiming for at least 1440p curve ultrawide with g-sync which cost like a nuclear bomb It's in the 3-4k price range. Like that can get a TV already.

Curve? What curve?
The X34's curve is very subtle unlike the Z35's which is a bit more pronounced.

Hahaha I was surprise how fast my eyes adjusted, given that 34" aim small. I only notice I'm using curved monitor when I stand up and look down from top

I have not considered 2560x1440 mainly due to I'm afraid that resolution will really hurting my fps. It also cost alot more even korean monitor will cost me 1.4k. Currently running WoW with around 60fps on my R9 280X, not gonna change gpu within 2 years.

It sounds like the "curve" isn't really significantly curved to be noticeable, even in 34"?

Haha and i still awaiting gsync 4k to come out soon
Is 29" ultrawide wide optimal for multi tasking and gaming ? Starting to get interested in Ultrawide monitor, as I am thinking of giving my 23" HP monitor to my dad to replace is 19" monitor.
Top up rm500-800 for 34' 1080p monitor. I personally got a crossover korean monitor due to cheap pricing.. but there is slightly risk there. I personally thinks 29" is too small for multi tasking and the "wow" factor isn't there yet, would rather get dual 23"

might consider that too, however my GPU is GTX1060, doubt it can handle beyond 29" smoothly
