QUOTE(hikari85 @ Oct 16 2016, 01:54 PM) old model doesnt have display port, only with 2 HDMI port. I see. 29UM68 does have built in speaker right ? or is it the 29UM68-P version ? 29UM68 got display port and free sync features. Currently using zotac mini GTX 1060, while I can't take advantage of the free sync, i am satisfy with 60 for now |

QUOTE(v2Rustie @ Oct 15 2016, 04:48 PM) hi guys i just bought the x34a. but i cant get the resolution higher than 1080. im using a gtx 980 but hdmi cable. does anyone know what the problem is? make sure you're using the correct version of the HDMI cable. To be safe, use the v1.4 version as that's what the HDMI input of the X34A supports (refresh rates locked at 60Hz via HDMI). Otherwise just use the included DP cable, since your GPU also has the DP input, which in turn supports the 100Hz refresh rates. |

Soon to be available Predator Z301C on YouTube. As a Z-series, this is a 1080p though

QUOTE(richard912 @ Oct 18 2016, 10:25 AM) But at least it's 30", so 1080P still looks fairly OK I think. |

I've had some really weird issues with HDMI cables before and had to spent a bit of money changing cables. End up using DP cable instead and voila, works perfectly. I prefer DP cable too cos it supports higher refresh rates. If ur graphics card supports DP, go for DP. Just my 2 cent. |

i do a lot of web browsing and watching videos. used to game on ps4, now thinking of coming back to PCmasterrace. I'm not worried about gaming at 1080p 21:9. My question is, does anyone have experience using a 34inch 2560 x 1080 monitor. I do open multiple windows of word documents or images but not for editing. only for viewing.
many sites say 1080p 34 inch ultrawide monitor is not good enough for productivity. But seems like their productivity is excel worksheets and video/3d editing (i do none of that). For my productivity, i do word editing, Powerpoint and lots of surfing... Currently using a 21.5 inch acer with 1600x 900 pixels. The size of the icons etc are OK for me, but yes, i can see some grainy-ness in text. |

I really don't see any issues of a 21:9 1080p for productivity functions. It may be an issue for gaming since some people have sensitive eyes and cannot handle the "larger" pixelsmany sites say 1080p 34 inch ultrawide monitor is not good enough for productivity. I used to play with Dell UltraSharp U3415W PXF79 34-Inch curved widescreen monitor. It is 34'' curved widescreen monitor. Amazing feeling.
