QUOTE(andyeng @ Jul 19 2024, 05:50 PM) Can anyone recommend a reliable, high-quality smart lock for a condo gate and an indoor door that lasts long? I just use the aqara smart lock for my indoor door lock. Had to change the batteries after 3 years of usage. Pretty good IMO. Didn't give me any issue so far.

I'm back here regarding autogate relay switch, I have to admit I'm being spoilt by the convenience of not needing to hold the remote control and also remotely open the gate when delivery comes. On and off the modules goes haywire, but may return later on which is weird.
Currently using this board from Athom (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002637950603.html) which supports HomeKit.
My system consists mostly Aqara, so I'm considering to make the jump to Aqara T2 (only T2 able to do the relay for autogate right?). Or is there a more robust chip which I could make use of MQTT or homebridge to integrate instead?

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Jul 22 2024, 10:33 AM) Not connected to my Wi-Fi, not sure if it isn't working... or Wi-Fi coverage issue. But I have a node that's nearby less than 30 ft away.

My previous auto gate relay...
12V battery --> 12v to 5v USB device --> Athom relay board. The 12v to 5v USB adaptor melted...
Using Aqara T2 now, the inching feature is bugged at the moment. When enable inching, the switch remains turned on... doesn't turn off. So I had to do automation manually to turn it off using homekit.

Using this for about 1.5 years, about 3 months ago I did open up as that time already started getting wonky the board but I was suspecting Wi-Fi all the time. Aqara T2 (RM200) from local shop, compared to the board I used previously this is much pricier. Advantage is now I could place this inside my house instead even with Zigbee has good coverage now. Stored behind the wireless keypad.

Either way you could have also tap the live wire from before the transformer to your auto gate box, put another transformer to 12V and then power a 12V device that way, i use that to power Shelly and also a camera at my gate. Before that i was tapping through the battery as well.

You can't put in RM inside or cut offs date / time.
Not sure about home smart apps that can link with ewelink if have more options for electricity monitor Why not you buy one for trial This post has been edited by azbro: Jul 25 2024, 10:08 AM

But that's the past lor, now the T2 direct take AC in and works fine.
