QUOTE(nujikabane @ Mar 1 2015, 11:05 AM) ^ I think you may have IRB (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).. Go and look it up I don think so because I always drink iced milo + condensed milk.. but when I use my mass gainer(Inner Armour Mass Gainer(Choco.)) after 30 minutes(estimation) drink with dishes(rice, fried fish, curry and some vegy) or when body felt hot cuz lack of water, then I throw xD in toilet...I'm always problem when drink with milk

Mass Gainers is not a magic powder. It gives you extra calorie. The real question is, does you daily calorie intake is bigger than what your body burns?

QUOTE(ZR46 @ Mar 30 2015, 04:56 PM) That's the important key if you want to see progress , along with your training routine . Focus on how much to eat instead of what to eat .

If you're not following a set routine with a set diet, the chances of you gaining quality weight is zero.

Being a Malay boy doesn't give you the right to become lazy to pursue what you want. You have access to internet, you spent hours in front of computer for gaming, you have money to purchase weight gainers. Can you spare some of that gaming time to read all the sticky threads that have the answers to your questions? Can you spare that RM 180 you've spent on mass gainers and purchase solid food. And lastly, please, show some real interest if you are really interested to gain weight.

Just wondering, how do you guys measure/keep track of the nutrition info when eating out? It's kinda hard to judge the calories.

QUOTE(Amedion @ Mar 31 2015, 12:25 PM) Guesstimate via myfitnesspal. +/- 10% accuracy. Yup I'm using it, though even when I search for foods it's puzzling. Like a bowl of prawn mee or standard plate of chicken rice, myfitnesspal search results sometimes come up with serving size = xxx grams, or 1 plate/bowl (don't know if small or big bowl lol). Another thing, for a target of for gaining 0.5kg/week based on current stats, IIFYM calc says I should take around 2500 cals, myfitnesspal says I should take 3000 cals. I guess the obvious choice is to weight myself every week and see if I'm gaining and decide which 1 to follow. Currently 175cm @ 61kg (added 3 kg after last 1 month with 4 gym days/week).

That's why u have to start from the basic. Let's say you consume normal plain chicken rice and myfitnesspal shows 800calories. Does that make sense to you? Example : Mamak fried rice. How i calculate if i want more accuracy? 100g white rice + medium egg + 2tablespoons of cooking oil + some vegetables + few calories for the preservative. Usually i just pick any fried rice from the list.

Opt for foods that are easier for you to keep track. If you can't guesstimate what's in prawn noodles soup, then opt for mixed rice or chicken rice where it is significantly easier to calculate.

I have been tracking my calorie intake via myfitnesspal.
My findings is that I am consuming less than the recommended daily allowance of about 2.5k/day.
It is still a work in progress.
Been trying so hard to chuck the idea of chucking carbonated drinks and the likes, to make up for the lack of calorie requirement.
Any food that contains high calorie, yet is 'healthy' for the body ?
