I'm an ektomorf, but I think using a gainer isn't a good idea. Imho they are full of shitty carbs, why don't you just eat a cup of sugar?
I would prefer rice, oats, buckwheat, vegs etc.

carbs is always needed by our body for energy, but too many carbs can make you sleepy easier. Too much sugar will make your stomach buncit and will lead to other diseases too

I read once that think of carbs like sugar. So when you eat big bowl rice it becomes sugar in your blood. Then your pancreas release the hormone insulin to tell cells to open up and let in energy. But if you are not exercising after you eat the rice the muscle cells don't need it so your fat cells take it. But when that happens your sugar drops quickly and you lose all energy and feel bad. But you gain weight too.

I think its hard to gain weight and feel good too.

Your gene do have an effect on your metabolism but I can guaranteed 100% that it won't affect your ability to eat a lot to gain weight. You just need to know the correct amount of food to eat, that's all.

LOL the smallest also is too big for me.
Scared drink 1 time tapi tak minat, rugi la.

Anyways, ho does it work actually?

Does it increase the appetite, or that the drink itself is high in nutrients to gain weight?

oh yeah 1 good tips is buy yourself a digital weighing scale...i buy one at guardian recently at the price of rm59...

digital gives you very accurate reading up to 0.1kg of your weight....i weight myself first thing in the morning...that way i would know my real weight without much water or food retention... it would get higher by 0.5 to 1 kg throughtout the day as your body will retain liquid for your daily activity needs

so u can monitor your weight very precisely throughout the day...if you calculate roughly your calorie intake per day at how much you will start to see some gain... i notice having meals 1 to 2 hours before sleep helps me to gain weight...

try to make a habit of eating at least 2000kcal per day as a start...to achieve this you should never skip any of your breakfast, lunch and dinner...make this your daily habit...give rough estimation how much kcal intake on each meal...

2000kcal is roughly the amount my body need just to maintain energy and my weight...not even gaining anything...

as example i estimate my breakfast at 450kcal-550kcal(nasi lemak a bit of daging rendang)+nescafe(additional 100kcal)

lunch at 650kcal nasi putih, ayam bakar n some vegetable with soup)

dinner 500kcal+100kcal (nasi goreng pattaya+milo ais)

this three staple meal give me 1800kcal per day...not including any smaller bite for example 2 mini sneakers snacks i eat gives me additional 200kcal.... total per day 2000kcal....

so i give myself pointer to gain weight i must eat anything between this 3 mandatory meals that would give me a total kcal intake per day of around 2500kcal to 3500kcal....i m somewhere between ectomorph to mesomorph me thinks because i am not severly underweight before this at 59kg 170cm...overall skinny arms, chest, but a bit of fat on my stomach...naturally broad shoulder... for true ectomorph with narrow shoulder, overall skinny limbs and not belly fat i think u should need more kcal intake somewhere ard 3500kcal upwards to gain weight...

i hope this tips is beneficial for u guys to gain weight...

oh and another point to note...eat food, supplement and practices lifestyle that increase your testosterone level to high production in your body....

this male hormone is vital to increase the effectiveness of gaining muscle growth, increase energy, male virility...

Serious about losing weight or gaining weight? ask me how! I can provide you a workout plan and other plannings.

To lose weight, it's not all just about working out or skipping meals, because without a proper diet, you might end up getting back the fats. It's important to practice this rule : 80% nutrition and 20% exercise.

Just drop me a message if you are interested in getting in shape as well as staying healthy.

Cheers people!

The nature of my job as well as tight schedule. Eg: I am not able to eat a meal between breakfast and lunch , + in between lunch and dinner. Do not have the luxurious of time to munch food and having a tea break.

with so many excuses....how do you expect to gain weight and look good? we just provided you with some good pointers but yet you shut em all off.....without dedication, effort, focus, changing of bad eating habits, bad lifestyle...how do you expect to look better? gaining weight healthily is all about living a very health conscious habitual way ...

montior your daily calorie intake, monitor interval time that you last take your meal...monitor if you had enough carbs, protein, vitamins for the day, ensure that your body muscle is doing good exercise and fully utilized, make sure that you have enough sleep, make sure that you are happy and not stressful, weight yourself daily if you have any good progress or you been slacking off.....

you think gaining weight healthily and look good is all about gulping protein based milkshake?

i can assure you without changing your lifestyle habit to a more health conscious way you'll never gain...
