Update:

Received Call from Maxis Tech Team and they said they tried to call 3 times yesterday when I did not receive a call from them. They asked if other bank websites are affected but somehow, RHB, CIMB, Maybank and all other banks except Hong Leong Bank seems to be having the issue.

Even they seem confused and wondering what is the issue... I already suspected IP subnet blocked as I have to use Cloudflare WARP to get into the website... blink.gif
*
Update 05/03:

Maxis said that could not resolve and then asked me to follow up with Hong Leong Bank on this and they also said they did not block my IP subnet... confused.gif

Ended up asking Maxis to fix it remotely when i put back my router and then they managed to change my IP subnet... once completed, i swapped back my Asus router. yet still gotten the issue only reoccur on my Asus router.
Had to change the VLAN profile to Maxis-Fiber in ISP profile of my router then back to the 58.71.205.XX range...

So I'm now wondering is Maxis purposely doing this to make ppl use their Maxis router... If I use custom VLAN profile which is Maxis Internet VLAN 621 only. The issue reoccurs. But if i use their profile, the issue disappears...

Guess something new or just wondering apa issue with it... hmm.gif

Apply transfer out and then ask them for retention offer. Can usually get free 6 months.

Given 2 choices.

Maintain 500mbps and free 6 months. After 6 months, rm139/mo (was 159)

Upgrade to 1Gbps and free 6 months, after 6 months,
Rm159/mo (this one i can add on rm1 for 65 inch tv)

Can modem/router supports 500mbps/1gb?

I received similar offer, opted for 500mbps but in actual only can go 300mbps. Can't remember exactly reason told by maxis but i think it's the modem/router.

What router and ONU are u using?

I use huawei HG8240H + asus ax3000 combination for my 500mbps. I get around 460+-mbps back then

After upgrading to 1gbps, maxis changed my onu to skyworth 2.5Gbe and router koan ar2140 combination. I get 910mbps.

I then changed my router to asus ax86u pro. Now I can achieve 1000mbps. Sometimes 1030+mbps. Sometimes 1040+mbps.

They are obligated to provide you the speed you subscribed. You can lodge report if only get 300mbps for a 500mbps plan.
Can you reach near 500mbps if test using lan cable? If yes, then time to change router with better wifi.

Hi, does that means apply transfer out first and wait for retention?

Is it possible to walk in and ask about retention instead of apply transfer out?

You may try and let us know. But with transfer ID it usually will work.

Hence it is important you try to port out or apply termination. Then retention team will call you. It is similar to Unifi, except for Unifi you can walk in to Tmpoint to request SWU plan.

The retention department didn't call me even though I had requested a transfer but that was a year ago. After my call to them, they offered me 8 months free (eventually 10 months for me), so no complaint from me. tongue.gif

Would recommend to apply for port in through walk in Unifi or Agent.

Unifi offer 6 months free for port in. Once Maxis received port in request from Unifi side, you'll receive call from Maxis retention department and counter offer you.

Even if Maxis fails to call you for retention offer, you can still opt for Unifi 6 months free port in.

However if you personally prefer Maxis, you can still call their hotline and reach out to Fibre team and officially ask them, How To Proceed for Termination of Maxis Fibre. Upon reaching that department call line, just inform them that you have request port in to Unifi, so you're just enquiring how to port out.

Thay should trigger them to look into your case and counter offer you.

Troublesome but depends on your personal preference on how to deal with them.

Got a call from Maxis to offer RM89 for 500Mbps plan, standard contract 24months.

Thinking if I should switch over from TIME, contract free atm. Paying RM99/month for 200Mbps.

Any performance issues that you guys encounter?

So far my experience with existing ISP isn’t great either for overseas sites, sometimes load very slowly, buffering etc with very low load on my line. Downtime also average I guess, few times a year.
