Maxis billing for Feb still not showing the rebates for contracted. For my case, I sign up for RM129 for 300 Mbps initially. So in the billing , its RM149 - RM20 for the plan. Ever since sign up for the 500mbps speed upgrade, Maxis billing screw up. For Jan and Feb , been paying full with the missing RM20 rebate initially within contract. Lodge a report to MCMC and waiting for its resolution. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Sigh, disappointed with the Maxis billing dept team. Lodge report with Maxis 3 times, MCMC 2 times, but still cannot resolve. Always say, next billing cycle will be given back rebates. Sudah masuk bulan Mac 2024, but still paying RM149 for 500mbps without the rebates of RM20 x 24months from the initial 300mbps plan. I called Maxis and said, if they breached this by removing the rebates, does this means I'm out of contract since the rebates gone? Unifi is always tempting me with price matching + 6 months free.

QUOTE(rannworld @ Mar 17 2024, 03:27 PM) Hi, I received this Free Speed Upgrade promo. And I am still under contract. My question is will the RM20 rebate still applicable if I opt for this promo? Thanks 😊 Add on: I did check with Maxis CS, but they are not sure about this despite the FAQ got mentioned it. 😅 Would suggest to put on hold. They couldn't resolve my rebate issue. Pending for 3 months already. QUOTE(rannworld @ Mar 17 2024, 05:32 PM) Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll just put this on hold first. Do let me know if you are able to seek solution. 😊 Lodge 2 reports to MCMC, following up with Maxis CS every 10 working days. The only answer is to wait for their investigation and will fix this. Same copy pasta answer.

QUOTE(rannworld @ Mar 17 2024, 05:38 PM) This is so unprofessional service from Maxis, I really hope they will refund back all your paid rebate. As their FAQ clearly states that “ Yes, your current special discount offer will be carried over to the all-new Maxis Home Fibre plan until the special discount expiry.” No point crying over spilt milk. I had no issues with Maxis connectivity service. Good technical support in fact. Only this billing issue is kinda a thorn in the flesh. Suggest you put on hold the free speed upgrade until they resolve this.

For my billing missing rebates..... currently it's Maxis = no further action nor update MCMC = no feedback from them as the case in under investigation status, which action is required from Maxis. Hence it's an infinite loop of unresolve case. This post has been edited by Keatsan: Mar 26 2024, 11:08 AM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 26 2024, 11:14 AM) It's sad to see this happening. You are probably the first to report this issue here; others (me included) are/were getting the discount transferred automatically from the old speed to the new speed. That's the strange part. It shouldn't be happening at the first place as the rest wasn't impacted as this case. Certainly it isn't a good experience to be facing such issue. They can't even issue manual rebate, they rather just wait for this case to go through system automatically rebate. Walked in to Maxis Centre at Pyramid, but they couldn't assist either as the case as been assigned to an agent.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Mar 26 2024, 09:32 PM) create a timeline as complete as possible on a piece of paper. put in date, time, names, etc. i suggest you call 123, get agent's name (and confirm it, to impress you are really taking note of the name), ask for ticket status and if unsatisfied, demand to speak to supervisor, don't take "cannot" from agent. when you get to speak to supervisor, relate to him your issue and the timeline of what you have done, and impress on him that it had been taking so long and yet maxis haven't responded with satisfactory explanation, yet alone to implement resolution. you get the supervisor to kick the stuck processing forward. usually that means a "call" to the offending processing agent. remember it's not supervisor's and this agent's fault. they are just unfortunate pathway so that you can get supervisor to escalate to the real processor on your behalf. I've logged my timeline and even use MCMC as a reference for all the loggings as well . Probably will call in today again after lunch to address this directly to supervisor or someone who has better authority to solve this.

An update for my case.
I received a call from the agent in charge of my case.
Apparently there's some migration of the issue due to the speed upgrade. A handful of customers were impacted of this bug for missing rebate.
The agent and her team were collecting all affected customers from Feb billing to April. Then resolution will be rebate reinstated on April billing onwards.
My contact ending on Jan 2025. However my rebate will only end on May 2025 due to missing for my Jan-Mac billing.
I'll have to wait for my April billing to reflect it's changes. And then if it resolved, I would need to call in and request for 3 months extra payment with SST to be credited manually.
Until then, have to wait next billing....... Finally some updates and more clarification.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Mar 27 2024, 05:51 PM) i .... would be asking for the missing discounts to be credited one-time lump sum instead of extending beyond end of contract. cheeky move on maxis part, that you're confirmed staying another 3 months. I know right? But I'll request for missing rebates to be credited manually. 3 months + SST to be reflected in May billing at least. So then I can decide by Jan 2025 if I want to hop to Unifi or......continue Maxis (providing I get good rates like fruitie) Let's see April billing, only then I can give a sigh of relief.

Updated latest April BillingThe extra payment for 3 months + SST has been credited, (RM20 x 3) + 6% SST. My contract remains the same ending date of Jan 2025, but the rebate of RM20 has been extended till May. (Missing 3 months rebate + 1 month goodwill rebate). Looks like it's been finally sorted out though. Troublesome but nevertheless resolved.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 22 2024, 12:27 PM) My experience is that I had to call them with the transfer ID; that's how I got my free 8 months. Just to get more info on this steps. Firstly head to UNIFI for the request to transfer in. Then once you get the request lodge in UNIFI system, they will send to MAXIS for the request to port out. Only then you contact Maxis for this nego offer to continue with Maxis. correct me if i'm wrong.

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Aug 7 2024, 12:23 PM) Soyacincau: Several Malaysian telcos/ISPs including TM, Time, Maxis, U Mobile and CelcomDigi have been found implementing Transparent DNS Proxy. This forces internet traffic to go through a local DNS even if you use Public DNS such as Google and Cloudflare. As a result, blocked websites are inaccessible even with Public DNS. Time to go VPN/DNS over HTTPS I hope Asus router DoT function can override it. No?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 26 2025, 04:23 AM) No la. Mine was initially given 8 months free subscription then they screwed up and started billing me in the fourth month, which they cannot reverse anymore. Thankfully, I had SST credits from the last four months and it was used to offset this mistake. As a token of appreciation, Maxis gave me another 6 months when I made a complaint about the free months removal. So, all in one, it was 10 months for me. I had the same issue as you before in terms of the rebate not reflect in billing. Quite hassle to communicate with them and informing them about the issue. But overall they will honor back the discount and rebates once it's been resolved

Would recommend to apply for port in through walk in Unifi or Agent.
Unifi offer 6 months free for port in. Once Maxis received port in request from Unifi side, you'll receive call from Maxis retention department and counter offer you.
Even if Maxis fails to call you for retention offer, you can still opt for Unifi 6 months free port in.
However if you personally prefer Maxis, you can still call their hotline and reach out to Fibre team and officially ask them, How To Proceed for Termination of Maxis Fibre. Upon reaching that department call line, just inform them that you have request port in to Unifi, so you're just enquiring how to port out.
Thay should trigger them to look into your case and counter offer you.
Troublesome but depends on your personal preference on how to deal with them.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 23 2025, 03:31 PM) Oh no wonder. I don't have a postpaid plan with Maxis, only this Maxis Fiber. The next thing I plan to do when I go back to my place is to change my Asus router to Maxis Huawei router. Then, I change the SSID and password to be the same as my Asus router, so that I don't need to setup all my IoT devices again. This will work right? In this case, I can verify if it is a router issue or Maxis issue, then Maxis has no more reason not to help me troubleshoot. As long as your SSID and the password same, then you can reconfigure back with the Maxis Huawei Router. I had issues with both AC86U and AC68U , so I end up using different router for home usage. Somehow the Asus router tends to hang with no trace of logs after more than average 9 days. Had to manual restart it which is annoying.
