Change to Maxis 10Mbps package but torrent download ~100 kB/s only. Previously using UniFi can get ~1000 kB/s. Anyone also facing this problem?
*
I haven't been torenting for a month. I just changed to Huawei router and indeed I'm having the same problem as yours. I used to get 10Mbps full or at worse, 250kB/s. Sometimes restarting my router also fix it. Now it doesn't. I'm gonna try changing back my router and see if router problem or maxis start throttling. I think it's the latter because I had no problem surfing or loading FHD YouTube.

Update:

I didnt switch my router and left it overnight. Woke up at 630AM and torrent going full speed. So confirm Maxis throttling BT until 2AM probably.

According to budget 2017 =5mbps plan at RM159 plan upgrade to 10mbps at same price.

Still kinda loses to Rm118 maxis early bird price (if you can live with the shortcomings and no iptv)

You, Maxis should just relegate your 1st level support to Google. Your IPv6 settings in the Thomson router messed up my internet and I had to reset the router to default. Tried to set up the router back and to no avail, not available to connect to internet. I really don't want to call your help center but I succumb after googling the internet for solution. Like always I was given a scripted answer. The agent said they'll do a manual connection (whatever that was) and wait for 1/2 hour to check back the connection or your technical level will give me a call. And I've waited the whole damn night for the connection to come up or someone from your "technical" team to call me. Fed up on waiting, and after some coffee, I've googled again and guess what, I'm typing this on the connected internet that I troubleshooted myself. Give you team a pat on the back (more like a hard smack) for the assistance.

Not even downloading anything, and can't even stream nicely, not to mention, I can't even complete this speed test. This speed test have been left >5 minutes. (cos I left it and went to play PS3)

Maxis f'ing up again?

Portforwarding not working for me, called astro today to enable the public IP for my maxis gateway, the technical team already called me and they say it has already been setup but the portforwarding is still not working, I already set the port in the toolbox section, enabled UPnP, but my port is still not open, I also assigned public ip of a connection to my PC but still not working, any solutions ?

Its depend the area la... They actually use TM infrastructure, if you saw your house got Maxis cabinet/pole then your area they use their own network infrastructure.

Refer below image for each ISP cabinet out side your house.

At least for my case, I got 2 unifi and 2 maxis fiber, 1 unifi and 1 maxis at Subang house, another 1 unifi and 1 maxis fiber at Kepong house, both is stable 24/7, both using TM infra.
