Wanna ask if it's normal for down to be 6Mbps and up 0.5Mbps?
OK now. It was the WiFi channel issue.
Changed to 7 and it's fine atm.
Satisfied thus far.

Having same issue. Can surf nicely for 2-3 minutes. Then disconnects for 10-30 seconds. Rinse and repeat.
Can't even do my job properly. |

IccyAsd blacktubi Kindly report how's your internet. It seems OK now cos I no longer dc in my game.
edit: still dc but not as frequent as 30 seconds once. edit 2: maxis staff just called. said connection should be ok now. if experience any dc within an hour or two, we were advised to give them a call. haven't experienced any disconnection on my side. on high ping (250++ms on Dragon Nest) This post has been edited by patienceGNR: Oct 30 2015, 09:45 PM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Nov 13 2015, 12:52 AM) Yeap. I am. Everything cannot load. Including LYN forum.I am, however, still able to download something at max speed. Anyway, yeah, it's very bad, but no disconnection. I wanted to come on to the forum to ask, and it seems I'm not the only one. You are in Subang/PJ/Damansara area? |

Same issue as 2 weeks ago.
My packet loss is getting worse, from 30% now 50%. I'm pretty pissed off 2 weeks ago, but because today I'm gonna watch movie tonight, I won't be bothered - but I have business to run as well. So I expect it to be stabilised again the next morning, hopefully. |

Anyone facing P2P (torrent) slowdown ?
My P2P services throttled to 250kb/s down speed only. Direct downloads (test files, e.g YouTube) have no problems. |

QUOTE(GHOSTVIC @ Jul 2 2016, 07:03 PM) per second 250KB , if 1MB takes 4 seconds, 1GB takes 4000 seconds (about 1 hour), just a single file download ? If it's 2MB/s (20Mbps speed) I wouldn't even complain about it.250KB/s = 250 x 8 = 2000 kbps = 2 mbps ( so the bandwidth capped for P2P is 2mbps ) ? whats the speed ur subscribed for ? Maxis
I have had this one problem since I subscribed last year, whereby halfway playing, or surfing the internet; the router, as it likes, disconnects and reconnects. How it disconnects: INTERNET light on the Thompson router turns red, and then back to green again. What's the point of me subscribing to your service if it disconnects frequently? Games also cannot play properly, constant disconnection, have to reconnect to game. If this goes on I will want to terminate the service with no penalty. I've constantly complained to your CS and yet what they always do is "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" "RESET for you" |

QUOTE(Maxis @ Sep 1 2016, 04:56 PM) Hi, Restarting both devices, same issue - again, it restarts/reconnects randomly. Even with the 'reset' done by tech team, doesn't help.Is it the same after you restart both devices? Are you experiencing this over both LAN cable and Wifi or just Wifi connection? Do PM us these details together with your account details for further assistance. TQ Issue is with router's connection to your servers, not between devices to router. |

QUOTE(paqralos @ Sep 14 2016, 09:52 AM) Hi guys, I've always gotten 100% (maybe more?) of advertised speed, never had speed problem so far in my 1 year usage nowI am planning to subscribe to Maxis Fiber internet 10mbps for my landed property. Can I know whether the speed advertised is what you get? Also, the connection is stable for landed properties? Internet activities, mainly are streaming and watching youtube, rarely play games. Thank you. |

I'll never recommend Maxis to anyone who is into hardcore gaming and/or competitive games.
I've been told by a Maxis staff, 4 days ago on Tuesday at 7.30 pm that every 48 hours your IP lease will be renewed, if you're on public IP that is. Hence if you're in competitive gaming, don't expect to have a smooth connection. I've also got a case ongoing for few months now for constantly getting disconnections, randomly the line drops, the router's internet light turns red and then green again - this leads to your competitive rank drop for no reason. And of course Maxis will not compensate you in any way. |
