I just upgraded from 10mbps to 20mbps a few dates back but when I did a speedtest I see I'm still gettting 10 instead of 20.
I called maxis and they told me to restart router and change my wifi channel.

Anyone have this experience before and how can I get this issue solve ?

Use lan to test instead wireless.

If still the same then it's their side not updated yet, or the port in your house is capped, they'll send technician to check if problem still persist on lan test.

The BTU got 4 lan port, port 1 is unifi, port 2 is Maxis, the rest port reserved for future internet service provider.

One fiber line can support up to 1.xx GBPS. So if you understand this, then you'll understand speed will be same as what your subscribed.

If you got the upgrade from maxis call or sms, you need to wait few days until you receive email saying that your upgrade was successful then only do the speedtest again. Have you got the email?

yea. I received Maxis's mail on the successful upgrade on last thursday. I came back home today and found out i just got 18mbps download speed today.

I guess they made me pay extra for 20mbps since last thursday but started the speed upgrade today. Felt a little cheated though.. lol

you better double check your latest invoice,
they told me my existing contract will be waived, and start with 2 year contract, but this month invoice total RM 658.67. Hello maxis you are the one who offer me the upgrade, and you told me , you will waive my existing contract, but you charged the penalty on my latest invoice! if this amount are not adjusted or waive, i'm going to complain to MCMC.

Try change new LAN cable to test.

If still got problem either router port / BTU port spoilt.

Anyone using Maxis Zero Downtime Business Fibre plan?

Can the backup wireless be use in the same time with my fiber connection? Example using fiber a office and use the wireless device at home.

Or my wireless device only work when my fiber is down?

After upgrading from 10mbps last week, on Monday i received 20mbps speed . When i did Speedtest yesterday and today again it seems like my speed dropped to 10mbps again.
I called Maxis then the guy told me theres interference with my wifi signals so he rebooted my router. After some while, i got my 20mbps again.. doh.gif

Weird... hmm.gif does wifi interference work affect internet speed?
Maybe slightly but not till the level of reducing from 20mbps to 10mbps...

i'm guessing Maxis changed my 20mbps back to 10mbsp and now reverted it back to 20mbps secretly after my complaint..

u must use LAN to test for most accuracy.

Wifi yes will interfere when ur surrounding got a lot wifi thus speed will be affected.
