Im using an old maxis router and dont want to get into a contract for the new wifi 6 routers. Anyone has a good router suggestion + mesh of some sorts that i can install myself?

Maxis connection is quite bad and if this doesn't work, i will terminate and move to other service providers. One last try.

If you just need a router, I would suggest the TP-Link AX73. If you need a mesh, go for the TP-Link Deco X50, which cost around RM900 for 2 packs. The router or mesh also can be use later if you decided to change to other provider.
However if you are on a higher plan like 500mbps or 800mbps, then you may want to consider to get a better router or mesh

Hi guys, want to ask, area subang jaya condo house, maxis fibre good or not? During peak hour gaming got packet loss ke?

Currently deciding to get Maxis or Time

If your condo has TIME Fibre coverage, then just go for TIME.

Hi new here. Wanna ask u guys. These are my speedtest on wifi. The 300 is on ground floor while the other is upstairs. Im on maxis 300mbps. Im using deco m4 mesh. So if i wanna improve the speed upstairs, which one do i need to upgrade ? The router or the mesh ? Thanks
The router and modem is the stock one. White and black wifi 6.

Northern region Maxis fibre pings suddenly shot up by 5ms from usual.

Anything happening?

Used to get like 7-8ms for pings to KL servers and 15ms for SG.
Now suddenly getting 15ms to KL servers and 20+ms to SG.

2nd hop all like 1-2ms only but the next few hops all got spikes. On TM wholesale network.

Is something messed up? Suddenly TM also becomes one of the upstream providers with Maxis. Is TM messing with your network now?

Anyone upgraded their Home Fibre package to a more expensive package?
How long does it take? Been calling up customer service and they just keep saying its "pending" and there is nothing they can do.

Don't think so... TM penalty need to pay remaining months and no way Maxis gonna cover that.

first time facing modem showing LOS flashing red light

22/06/2022 2PM my family told me having no internet issue
i was thinking maybe just normal issue need restart or something

6PM back home and checked modem and router
Guess what? LOS!! (lost of signal) on modem...

Called maxis 1800821123 careline to report issue, and they gaved report number to let me follow up.
Within 4 hour another technical department 0367309023 called me to check the problem still remain or not. YES IT STILL SAME..

almost report 24H so i called maxis to check my report status, they just wanna to call me to double check the LOS still remain or not, if still remain, they need request TM to check the fiber wiring connection..
THIS WEEK SLOT ARE FULL LMAO, Need wait until next monday...


HAILAT liao hahahah no internet service 4days to go...
