QUOTE(HKHIEW88 @ May 1 2021, 09:16 AM) Before this I was using Maxis 30Mbps package. Due to the recent promo by Unifi (FREE Sharp 42" FHD Android TV if switch to Unifi 100Mbps package), I decided to do the transfer. When Maxis received the transfer request they called me and offered me RM1/month for a Philips 43" 4K UHD Smart TV with 24-contract on 100Mbps package too). So finally I stay with Maxis. Now waiting for Maxis and TM to come and replace my old modem and router with the latest Wifi 6 router. TV will be delivered within 60 days. Is the unifi promo available for walk in customer? or through agents?

Anyone upgraded their Home Fibre package to a more expensive package? How long does it take? Been calling up customer service and they just keep saying its "pending" and there is nothing they can do.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 29 2023, 12:33 PM) It's normal. I already got my latest bill and it still carries the discount over. Would you mind sharing how did you get the special discount?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 29 2023, 01:45 PM) I got it since I registered for Maxis Fiber last year. RM 129 for 300Mbps and now upgraded to 500Mbps, it is still 129. However, this will last for 24 months only, after my contract ends next March, it will go back to RM 149. However, I'm not keen to pay more, by then let's see what other options I have. Oh so it is new customer discount, thanks!

Does anyone mind sharing how does port in / port out works?
If walk in to another fibre store and request to port in, don't user need to sign an application form or something?
If after that, the existing fibre counter offer, can user reject the previous application?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 22 2025, 02:29 PM) There is no port in for ISPs as you will be giving with new set of fixed line number, account etc. Only new application and termination. Yes, you will still need to apply like normal and the agent will mark that you are an existing user for X ISP which your current ISP will be informed. Also yes, if the current provider counter-offers you and you want to stay with them, you can reject the new provider's application. Usually, the current provider will help you to reject the new provider. You can inform them to do it for you. Thanks for sharing!
