how old will your parents be?

If they are quite old then maybe the bus route in osaka will be better for their legs as some subway entrance/exit is strictly stairs about 30-40 flights thou some have elevators

There is a possibility of long walks just to get out of the subway station to the nearest exit of a attraction like osaka castle. My personal experience will be Tanimachi Yonchōme Station. I have to walk up a flight of stairs to get out of the subway level, walk 300-400 meter to the NHK exit then another 600 meter to the gate of the castle

Not sure if your parents could take those kinds of pacing  sweat.gif

Not a prob for them I think.
Just not sure if they used to no proper room to sleep lol.
They are at their 50s now.

What main attractions you would suggest in Osaka?
I am planning to go Aquarium, Universal Studio (if got budget), Osaka castle, and the street where they sell electronics.

Take it slow and easy la with your parents. Last time I tried to march my parents that are about the same age as yours according to my pace when I was in paris, at second day, they just decided to screw it and take the hop on hop off bus sad.gif

Personally the things I enjoyed the most in Osaka in the shinsekai area, spa world and umeda Sky tower lol

Tips if your going to himeji, don't bother going up the castle. I climb up 6 floors of steep stairs to find nothing in it except for a little Japanese-buddhism praying box on the top floor

Hi, would like to check with all the experts here as I am bit confused with the transportation systems in Japan.

I have checked the transport from Koyasan to Kiyomizu-Gojo through Hyperdia and one of most preferred routes with 3 transfer is as per the pictures shown.

I am a bit confused at the Tennoji station which is still on the Osaka Loop Line but it said the arrival track is 11 and departure track 12. So do I need to transfer at this station? It still the same train that ride through Kobayashi right?

Now I found the answer, the >> sympol mean you do not needs to transfer train, just stay on the same train.

just asking, normally when we book rooms via Agoda, the person name printed on the booking slip will be in the format "Firstname" then "Lastname" (eg. Kit Siang Lim)

but for chinese, our formal name as per IC / passport follows the Surname, Given name format (Lim Kit Siang)

would hotels / guest houses accept this? I been using this (Kit Siang Lim) format in local, SG and HK before, all with no problems, however I am paranoid about Japanese's perfectionist nature, do they accept this? tongue.gif

no problem, both oso can

infact japanese ppl name works very much like us
eg Utada Hikaru is the actual name
but since caucasion like to comply to their standard they name her "Hikaru, Utada"
if u notice the comma, it is actually to identified the surname thumbup.gif (not 2person name whistling.gif )

RegentCid, wanna ask for your advice on the minimum num of days travelling in Narita airport. I am kinda limited on budget rm1500, will it be sufficient? Mostly backpacking, overnight at airport and go sight seeing.

When should i start booking the hotel for my end of november trip in kyoto?
Agoda, expedia, booking.com etc take reservation early, but option and price may not be as good compare to Jalan.net which can only reserve 3 month ahead.

some budget hotel chain, Toyoko inn and dormy inn can only book 3 month advance..
Theoretically, accommodation could only get more expensive if i book later especially during peak season.. isn't it?

anyway? anyone have toyoko inn club member ship ya?
