wow.. this is what i want..

so mean quota RM50 for each month is based on posting date....
*
The quota follows calendar month.

The posting date will determine when the cash back will be credited back to your CC.

Why will it be subjected to GST?

It's not categorized as "service charge" or "transaction fee".

6250TP = RM 50 is only for one redemption. Subsequent after that, will be using the normal conversion 250TP = RM 1.

Let's put it this way, transaction date is the most important date to determine the eligibility of cash back.
As you know cash back is calculated on calendar day (1st-30th/31st of the month).
Posting date is only important if weekends fall on 29-30/31st of the month to determine which month the cash back will be credited.

For e.g. 28.02.2015 (Saturday)
1) If transaction date falls on 28.02.2015, you will get cash back.
2) If posting date falls on 28.02.2015, it is considered as Feb cash back.
3) If posting date falls on 01.03.2015, it is considered as March cash back.

Hope the above explains.

So pandai pandai to apply the right cards for 0% =).

Even if not 0%, BT is almost always preferable to paying 18% (whether apply GST or not). Both options are much worse than paying in full and on time though.

I submitted my card application on the 8/3, and Maybank send me an sms saying that my application has been approved on 19/3. And yesterday, on the 23/3, the card arrived and I activated it.

So my question is, am I entitled to the RM100 cashback for swiping 6x in a month? Do they based on the date my application is submitted, application being approved, or activation date? Im worried since the cashback promotion expires on the 22/3.

I called them earlier, and they told me that the eligibility is based on the approved date.

I also applied on the 8th, but little did i know they only submitted my application on the 21st.... since im no longer eligible for the promo, so i just called and cancelled my application.

So I am eligible for it right? Since I got the SMS on the 19th, which is 3days before the end of campaign period. But even if i did not get that cash back, I'm still not at a loss as I apply for my card at a roadshow, will be getting a 20" Polo travel luggage after the card is activated.

Next time no need to wait till weekend, can pay on any day any time yet still enjoy the 5% weekend CB. The trick is.... scheduled payment.
