I recommend more wet food than dry food.

I was told that giving too much wet food could cause a potential worn inside. not sure how true was that.
What wet food do you reco? And more as in how many times a week?
Also was told 1 of the person at PLC give wet food as a treat.

I'm definitely not in a position to recommend the brands, because I'm not based in KL.

I feed my cats a portion of wet food twice a day, combined with some dry food, and my vet suggested I put them on wet food only... but dry food is convenient when I'm not around, so I'm not willing to give it up completely.

EDIT: I can also add that my cats have been on a dry and wet food combo feeding for over two years now, and they are worm/parasite free.

The only issue with wet food is that dental care is required, because then plaque builds up.

Hey guys, any Scottish Fold owners here?
I heard that hot temperatures/weather can cause a Scottish Fold's ears to unfold. Is that true? Has anyone heard of this or experienced it themselves?

Hi, need some advise.

I only recently started to place my cats in a cage, before this they are loose in the house without any cage. The problem is i noticed the cats always breathe heavily only when in the cage.
They breathe with close mouth and body will also move when breathing. When i let them out, they're fine.
The cage is outside of the house, at the balcony.
Is that normal tho?
Maybe not used to it?

1. how big is the cage?
2. where do you place it?

I keep my cat in the cage when I want him to stay put (don't leave the house, or go disturb food or whatever)

When it's not cage time the cage is always open, and the fella will go back to the cage to rest from time to time, very natural .

Yes maybe they're not used to it. They're fine now, i dont see them like that anymore.
I let them out in the morning, and in cage at night. They always go back to the cage for toilet break and eat.

Hello guys,

Can someone recommend high end wet food for cats? Two of my cats have sensitive tummy, I can only feed them wet food for them to have solid poop. I have dry food on standby but only one out of three cats can eat it. Thinking of trying Royal Canin Sensible 33 soon, since dry food is so convenient.

Currently only feeding them those canned Whiskas. I'm not sure if that's healthy or not. :|

My rule of thumb, as long as they have good bowel movement, then you're feeding them well. Now about the nutrient, whiskas canned food should be ok I think. The whiskas dry food that I don't recommend.

For dry food, you should look at the ingredient. If possible you should void dry food if it have maize/corn as the main source of nutrient. Other ingredient like rice, I'm ok with it. I'm more liberal than other cat's lover. My cat's fur is shiny, they are healthy, and have good bowel movement. Anyway, you should choose dry food that use chicken/fish/lamb as main source of protein.

The correct way to change the food, you should slowly introduced the new food to them. If your cat have sensitive tummy, it can be time consuming. I have been there & you should be patient. My suggestion is that, put a small amount of new food with their ordinary food. Maintain the ratio until your sensitive tummy cat get used to the new food, then you can increase the amount of new food & decrease the amount of old food. I can not really give you how long it may take but if their poop remain wet or watery after a week, you should stop feeding them the new food & return to their ordinary food right away. Although if the poop is still watery (wet is ok IMO but watery is big no no) after a couple of days, you should just stop feeding them the new food right away. Try other dry food.

Im a noob here

Apprantely,One of my cat was fallen off from my balcony
The cat is a Female
I search for her for a while within the vicinity
I put some food nearby my block (maybe able to attract her)
I found a cat which look exactly the same near my block parking area (maybe its mine or different cat)
I brought back home and suddenly, one of its sibling hissed at her, she also hissed at them

Approximately she was missing for 10-12hours
Is it possible for cat to forget their siblings/littermates?

Cats are very scent driven animals. Even a trip to the vet can cause the cat who stayed home to not recognize the cat that went to the vet.

So yes, it is possible. Your cat that went missing now does not smell the same. The other cat does not recognize him/her.

Give them some time. They will become freindly again.

BTW, you should be able to know whether that is your cat or not based on how it react or behave around you, whether she response to the name you use to call her, whether she go to her favorite spot when resting/sleeping, etc. There always at least one unique behaviour that you can distinct her from the other cats.

maybe different cat. my cats go kawin missing more than 1 week and when they come back, other cats still recognize them, and will go sniff their back side to check them.

if you don't know, sniffing the back side is to check the well being of the other cat, not that they want to check if they had sex, or they are pervert. somehow a lot of information are there, just waiting to be sniff.

It is possible that it's a different cat, but you cannot use your cats as an example. Every cat is different. My cats don't mind if one goes to the vet and comes back smelling different, but others have cats that fight like crazy when one cat comes back from the vet.
