Yup of course,
the is no other cpu u can get that can deliver much performance the xeon do, in term of threads n single core performance,

So it is the most value for its price range

N the gud thing is,
u dun nid xpensive mobo nor expensive psu to power it up,
unlike amd fx, they do

I've been quoted at 2 different price ranges. One at RM2000 and another at RM3000. I did this comparison to see the games that I would play, would it be able to run at both. However, the RM2000 seems to fit perfectly with any games I would play maxed out settings at 1920x1080.

My final question is, for the RM2000 price range specs that I've received, which is this:

Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz RM676.28
Asrock H81M-VG4 RM178.08
Sapphire R7 265 Dual-X OC 2GB GDDR5 RM581.94
Corsair Value RAM 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RM124
WD Caviar Blue 1TB RM199
FSP Hexa+ 550W RM199
Thermaltake Versa H25 RM135
Total:RM2093.30

Is it possible for me to swap out the Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz RM676.28 with an Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz RM899?

And if I do, would it create significant differences for my gaming/PC experience in general or is the differences compared to the price hike not worth it?

Also, thank you all of those who contributed and helped me find the best spec sheet for my PC. I highly appreciate it. Would highly appreciate this final advice too.

for gaming pc,
ur focus always GPU 1st than cpu,
so if u thinking of better performance
it is most advisable for u to get better GPU,
Leadtek GTX960 ref RM830 (estimated),

but my concern is more on ur RAM,
for gud gaming exp u nid at least 8GB ram RM229,
so if there is anyting u ask that u nid to fix on this RM2k build,
i would say the ram 1st

I think I'd stick with the current GPU and upgrade the RAM to 8GB.

Thank you.

If you're gaming on 1080p and below,GTX970 is the best bang for buck option,at the moment. It has the 3.5GB vRAM issue,in which games that uses a lot of vRAM,once reaches the 3.5GB mark, will cause stutters IINM.

Before GST,i'll go for dual GTX970s over a single GTX980 for 1080p.But since the prices are different now,i'll get GTX980. wink.gif

OEM PC's normally need to upgrade PSU as well if you are going to upgrade the GC, if you are getting a low end GC with only 300W needed, then your current PSU might be able to support, if you are getting a mid end or high end GC then you will need to get a new PSU.

Get an i3 if possible, the hyperthreading really helps in some games. The RAM can change to value RAM to save some money.

Intel Core i3 4150 - RM 402.80
Asrock H81M-VG4 - RM 178.08
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Value RAM - RM 119
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 193.98
Sapphire R7 250X 1GB GDDR5 - RM 339.20
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 179
Aerocool V3X Advance - RM 104.94

Total: RM 1517 (Price with cents is from Jayacom, the rest is from Viewnet inclusive of GST)

520W is enough for this setup, he can go for 620W if he wish to do so but I prefer modular cable, PC looks nicer and you can get rid of unused cable for better air ventilation.
