R9 280 comes with only 384 bits and I don't see any 2GB R9 card is more expensive than it.

About the aftermarket cooler, some of them are having more heat pipes which is more efficient in cooling the processor, some are expensive due to brand and the design.

Thanks again Terence.

Sorry, i meant not water cooled heatsink. I am not convinced with water~cooled as i worry it might have leakage or water pump faulty when old like radiator and hoses in cars.

Yes I know you are not talking about water cooler, the heat pipe I mentioned is something like this

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

The amount of heat pipe (bronze color) on the heatsink plays on important role in heat dissipation.

Thank you. My laptop is actually running R7 265 right now. I guess I'd upgrade my budget by a notch to increase capabilities. Once again, thank you.

Also, do you know what monitor would be the best at it's cheapest price to run 1080p for games like Advanced Warfare without lags? Preferably something in between 25-30".

Noted. Thank you for the piece of information.

Would it be suitable if I swap out the GPU with a GeForce 970/R9 280? Or do I have to upgrade other stuff in order to do this swap?

Haha, that's why I was wondering if needed to upgrade the PSU also or not.

Thanks for the recommendation, by the way. I will definitely take it into consideration.

4690k isn't an i7..it's an i5.

Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz RM954
Asrock H97-Pro4 RM348.74
Leadtek GTX980 Hurricane 4GB GDDR5 RM2179
Corsair Value RAM 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RM229 x2 = RM458
WD Caviar Blue 1TB RM199
Liteon 900S 128GB RM269
Seasonic M12II Evo 520W 80+ Bronze Fully Modular RM299
Thermaltake Versa H25 RM135
CM Hyper TX3 Evo RM94.34
Total:RM4936.08
Prices of the CPU,MoBo and CPU Cooler are from Jayacom@LYP,the rest are from Viewnet@LYP. smile.gif

Are you gonna overclock? hmm.gif Cause then,i'd only suggest going with i7 4790K,in which you'll have to sacrifice SSD and a stick of 8GB RAM.Since games are taking advantage of more cores and threads, rather go with an i7 4790K if you're gonna overclock or Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 or an i7 4790.

Either reduce RAM to 8GB and remove the SSD or downgrade the GPU to GTX970.

go for Palit/Zotac GTX970 Ref Rm1300 (estimated)
n topap summore for bigger SSD (liteon MU 240GB RM379), it still will under 4.5k

wanna go lower??? fine....
ditch the SSD n HDD, take SSHD 1tb (RM299) , take RAM oni 8Gb n go for i5-4440 (RM699)

even lower?? swap MOBO with Asrock B85m HDS RM289 n swap with FSP hexa+ 550W RM179
*note that mobo n psu will not affect performance..so u still can consider this
