I fulfilled this campaign on first day of the campaign month. Got full RM240

Ooooh... first day surely safe lol

I got cashback for my transactions on 15 May but not the one on 16 May, I spent around RM200 for both transactions. Checked with customer service, they were not helping much by delaying 1 month till no response. Had to check with them again and just told me first come first serve basis... ranting.gif I asked for the dates but the agent just ended the chat, so this is how the customer service works in an international bank nowadays? rclxms.gif

HSBC really funny.

Their system 'cancelled' my application when I checked back late Dec.

Last week, suddenly I got SMS that my HSBC card application has been approved.

Luckily still have the same RM800 Shopee voucher promo

Really? Will try to find out more info later, you've got any link to share?

Extend meaning cashback allocated was not finished? If yes, I should hv even gotten cashback for my grocery/utilities transactions. From what I observe so far, only the first transaction each month was given cashback... Hoping more people can share their transaction dates for the cashback received, especially for May, June & July as I had no idea promo had been extended.

no. they added the quota la. so if monthly capping is finished, then those subsequent spent wont get cashback in that month.

my spending is on 11may & 11 june.

btw it's not utilities. it's groceries & dining.

I checked the SMS received for the cashback received also stated Groceries & Utilities, but the odd part is all the T&C (although I did not go into details, probably except the Dining/Utilities MCC) is all the same for both documents!

Still trying to find out if my 16 May transaction was eligible for the cashback cuz it is equivalent to around RM50 cashback!!!

UPDATE: you're right! The registration codes r different- DG & GU!!!

For this 25% cashback campaign on Grocery & Utilities, each cardholder is entitled to receive RM120 per month and maximum RM240 throughout the whole campaign, with minimum RM400 on a single or cumulative receipts.

I fulfilled all the above but sadly did not receive the full cashback, I checked my spending all were within the first 10 days of the campaign commencement date. For those of you who received your cashback, could you please share the dates of your spending for May & June? Thanks!

if remember correctly I done my transaction on 1st day on Oct and Nov 2021. @ RM500++ at giant department store.

1.1 points on every RM1 overseas spend in foreign currency (online, utility and insurance transactions)
1 point on every RM4 local spend in Ringgit Malaysia (online, utility and insurance transactions)

Seems ok to me. I've only converted once (for testing purposes) and now just collecting points for the moment since I don't really travel MAS. Will probably start using MAS once borders start to open up more.
*
RM1 = 1.1 HSBC AirMiles spend oversea
RM4 = 1 HSBC AirMiles spent locally

But

for example,convert to Kris Flyer, you have to divide the HSBC AirMiles by 2

which means RM2 = 1 Kris Flyer Mile (spend oversea) and RM8 = 1 KrisFlyer Mile (spend locally)

There are 2 types of cashback.
1 is normal cashback 0.2%. This one is credited based on statement
Another 1 is everyday cashback (7.8% / 8%). This one tracked based on calendar month, and credited next month

Thanks for your confirmation. The HSBC CS really got me confused when she said the 0.2% CB cut-off date is the 27th of the month. rclxub.gif

The CS got it wrong.

Refer here.

Supposedly the so called Bonus Cash Back or Cash Back Everyday is 7.8% for grocery and ewallet and 8% for petrol max cap RM15 each category if you spend above RM2000 in a calender month.
or 0.8% for grocery and ewallet and 1% for petrol if you spend below RM2000 in a calender month

While the original cash back portion of 0.2% is there regardless of your spending for grocery, ewallet and other retail spend EXCEPT petrol.
