Anybody have any past experience with HSBC prize contests? What kind of questions they will ask over the phone? I know it should be easy questions but scared malu if i don't know lol

I got housing loan with them. So from time to time will receive telemarketing call to offer personal loan etc.

Not need to fill any form?

Last time apply StanChart and Citibank need fill in forms, scan and edmail

Sigh...later Comparehero give a useless luggage again and said u are not in the 90 successful applicants....

When they call u? Is it for the Ringgitplus or CompareHero?

At this rate, it’s getting hopeless. Better get the guaranteed RM500 voucher. Sad case.

Just realises that you don’t even need to be New-to-bank Customer. Existing HSBC cardholders also can get, as long as their last application are >6 months

Yea, I saw Comparehero reply somebody questions then i go read the T&C again. It didn’t say New-to-Bank. Existing cardholders also can get the free gift.

Like this for sure those existing cardholders will get activation faster since approval sure fast

When Comparehero did the AirPods flash deals for Citibank, there 200 units. Even though I was fast in submission (back-to-back 2 days calls from banks and documents submission), dunno why Citibank took so long to approve my card. Obviously, not able to get the AirPods...

and then they do GUARANTEED AirPods deal for SC cards after that luckily I don't have SC cards, so I applied.

3-Oct - Comparehero AirPods Citibank Flashdeal
4-5 Oct - deal with Citibank CS and send document via email etc.
25-Oct - only received approval SMS
2-Nov - got the card and activated (sent to my office in KL)

Applied Citi Premiermiles card. Don't know if it got to do with applying higher-end card lmao.

My StanChart Visa Platinum card application is superb fast (doesn't matter since it's guaranteed deal)

Oct-26 (Fri) - Applied via Comparehero
Oct-29 (Mon) - StanChart called and send email for document submission
9-Nov (Fri) - card approved
12-Nov (Mon) - card arrived in my office

Will let you know in a few hours time?

Comparehero told me they just got the bank reports yesterday and they will sent out the redemption form soon.

Luggage is "consolation' gift. don't think it's worth more than RM100-200

If you apply thru other channels or HSBC online, can guarantee get better gift like RM500 Lazada voucher.

Well, part and parcel of the gamble I guess....

I forgot to mention that. For this HSBC promo, existing HSBC cardholders can apply and eligible for the promo as well. As long as their card is not just approved within the last 6 months

That's why i totally give up after HSBC didn't call me on the first day

Yea, I thought I read wrong since Comparehero promo for SC and Citi always said New-to-Bank customers only.

Then I saw Comparehero reply someone saying they are eligible. Then I look at the TnC again. Really didn't say New-to-Bank

Like how our approval can be faster than existing HSBC cardholders who can just apply easier cards with low requirement, especially if their payment record is clean.

When the CS called me yesterday, she literally have 4 submissions of my name - 3 from Comparehero and 1 from Ringgitplus. I choose to proceed with Ringgitplus

So in you case, maybe they ignored your Comparehero submissions since their system might show you are already applying for a card?

Sorry to inform you that you are not within the first 90. But we will give u a shitty luggage instead.

The RM500 Lazada voucher is only applicable if applied thru HSBC online or Ringgitplus

Luggage i don’t think 6-8 weeks. Didn’t keep track but it was more like 3-4 weeks after i filled in the form.

The CS wait time is horrible.

And I just found out that their automated system can’t ‘read’ VOLTE calls number inputs =.=
