How long did it application process take you? Did you apply online and have a rep call you to complete the reg?

I applied for Amanah card as well end of last week via their site and got a call yesterday to complete my reg as well as submit mykad, epf and payslips online.

For me, I plan to put it lumpsum into amanah saham. On average I'm already buying more than 1k a month so just treat at it as advanced lumpsum placement instead of monthly placement.

should be no sst if card already deactivated. double-triple make sure HSBC terminated it fully. some might just suspend it temporary. say it out loud via call or write in email black&white. all these are recorded for dispute later.

Have made 12x swipes and was shocked to see the annual fee charges in my statement. So need to call to request waiver? I thought it should be automatically done by their system?

Also, it seems like their call center is from 7.30am to 9.30pm.. sweat.gif

12x swipes or minimum 1 per month?
They are different...
Shouldn't be any problem to call for waiver if you had fulfilled yet they still charge you

It says minimum 12 swipes a year, so I would take it as not necessarily minimum 1 transaction every month?

For new user with clean record, many bank dont accept one , doesnt matter ur CCRIS or salary high.
i do recall the 2nd year after i work, with salary 100K p.a and newly loan a car monthly 2.2k , i also FAIL when attempting apply HLB wise Gold , M2C GOLD , Standard Charted , Citibank , Alliance platinum

ALL FAILED even i was way above some card minimum 24kpa (HLB wise gold ) and 36k m2c.

The only card i manage to get was from the my hire purchase bank a.k.a the rubbish PBB platinum card.

after 3 year on record , now only im able to get any card i apply.

NOTED: i failed 5 time on Maybank 2 Card GOLD , wanna get it so much last time.

Wahhhhh I thought I was bad. Back then I only applied 2 - Hong Leong and Citibank. Hong Leong rejected but Citibank approved. But I went for the lowest Clear card la.

Fast forward 15 years, Hong Leong still rejected me. They asked me to apply, otherwise I can't be bothered.

Somewhere in between, got the free Direct Access from Jobstreet and never looked back.

Sorry, I have no idea for this.
For HSBC VS, it is clearly stated in their T&C:
"Annual fee will be waived if the Cardholder(s) swipe the HSBC Credit Card at least once a month for a period of 12 consecutive months."

But from HSBC website:
HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-i
"Annual fee waived with 12 consecutive swipes per year"

Also, I can't find the exact T&C for Amanah MPower from their website.
Hence, I suggest you to call CS for waiver.

Just called HSBC, no questions asked, immediately the customer service said they will proceed to waive the annual fee and will be credited back in the next statement.

Yes, no need minimum 1 swipe a month. As long as there are total 12 swipes a year.

actually the more interesting qns here is that if the swipes applicable to both online purchase and retail or it is just purely for retail.

Tried to look for a TnC about this but I don’t think there is, so I assume it should be applicable to all?

So only for retail? Meaning must physically use the card at merchant?
