I checked on Ringgitplus it states Amanah MPower annual fee waiver with 12 swipes. Is it still applicable and is it automatically done or still need to call in and request for it?

Applied for Amanah MPower through RinggitPlus. A minute after submitting, HSBC called, that's pretty quick. However the application process over the phone is pretty hassle as he/she might hear wrongly and key in the wrong thing.

Will I still be able to apply for 0% BT promo after card approved? During sign up, the tele-sales staff offered this but at that time I said no but now I might be changing my mind and take up that offer instead.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Jul 23 2017, 06:57 PM) You should call to check ASAP. For me, the telesales officer DIDN'T mention the BT offer. However, I called up the next day to enquire about the BT offer, and the customer service officer told me that the BT acquisition offer needs to be submitted together with CC application. Therefore they had to withdraw my CC application and resubmit a new one together with the BT. If I hadn't called before submission I think I would not be eligible for the BT once they had issued the card. QUOTE(justanovice @ Jul 23 2017, 08:19 PM) What lilsunflower posted is correct. For new card promo bt have to apply together with card application. My case, the card promoter did not mention to me on the BT program so I missed it. However I call up the CS and they offer me a new program instead, 0% BT for 6 months, with different terms (can get up to 60% without cap) which i duly took. So, call their CS Who may have new deals. Thanks, I'll check with them and see if it's still possible or if they have any other offers.

QUOTE(idoblu @ Aug 3 2017, 02:00 PM) Did they call you again to verify your number? Did they say they will send card by normal mail or courier? Verification done upon submitting application, I applied through RinggitPlus and 10 minutes later HSBC called to do some verification and to obtain further information. Not mentioned whether it'll be snail or express mail, only mentioned that it will be delivered within 10 days.

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Aug 3 2017, 07:03 PM) Giant under groceries for HSBC mpower? Why I get only 0.2% CB QUOTE(fly126 @ Aug 3 2017, 08:35 PM) 2 or 8 % CB Coverage, Petrol – Shell, Caltex and Petronas. Groceries – Giant, Tesco, AEON Big and Mydin. They will only Credit back the 2 / 8% (Groceries, Petrol) CB to Your account about 2 Months later... So that, U can get 0.2 + ( 2 or 8 %) CB CASH BACK ON PETROL & GROCERIES (pg.4) 8. Only the primary Eligible Cardholder will receive the Cash Back on Petrol and Groceries. This Cash Back will be credited into the primary Eligible Cardholders’ HSBC Amanah Cash Back Card account within 6 weeks after the end of each Participating Month and will be reflected in the following month’s statement. https://sp.hsbc.com.my/microsites/mplat-int...FINAL_27JAN.pdfI guess they don't use MCC to determine whether the transaction is eligible for cashback or not.

QUOTE(fly126 @ Aug 8 2017, 06:39 PM) 10K...? Even less while my other cards are double digit for now. Perhaps I'm somehow a risky customer for them hence the lower credit?

QUOTE(idoblu @ Aug 8 2017, 06:52 PM) which makes my limit even more unbelievable. I think Hsbc forgot to print the decimal point 😅 Maybe yours is about 11k? Or they really intended to give you that credit limit.

QUOTE(Belphegor @ Aug 18 2017, 08:18 PM) Hi HSBC users. HSBC Amanah got no AF right? I am planning to apply it and spend to get the Lazada Voucher actually. Any sifu can share some insight tips regarding this? Read the T&C edi, they never mentioned on the restrict category to spend on. Many thanks! For the MPower cards, AF is waived with 12x swipes a year. http://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/1/2/amanah/pe...al/credit-cards

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 26 2017, 08:19 PM) Hi all, HSBC is never in my preferred list due to its weird way for Balance Transfer. However, I saw there's a 0% cash advance thingy? Is it for new cardholders? If yes, I will drop by HSBC booth in MV though I pass by there every weekday but never get approached by them. Yea, if I'm not mistaken can only be applied at time of credit card signup. I noticed many HSBC salesperson doing roadshow/booths tend to judge a person and therefore kinda choosy in approaching potential customers.

QUOTE(WinkyJr @ Sep 12 2017, 12:45 PM) hsbc will email you when the card approved hsbc will SMS you when the card is on the way to u - courierd better call hsbc to get the tracking number once u rcv the SMS in my case, the poslaju drop it in maildrop That's because they use PosLaju Mail Drop so they will just ensure that it is dropped in the mailbox of the receiver. Similar to Pos Ekspres in a way.

Have made 12x swipes and was shocked to see the annual fee charges in my statement. So need to call to request waiver? I thought it should be automatically done by their system? Also, it seems like their call center is from 7.30am to 9.30pm..

QUOTE(charlesj @ Aug 31 2018, 11:12 PM) 12x swipes or minimum 1 per month? They are different... Shouldn't be any problem to call for waiver if you had fulfilled yet they still charge you It says minimum 12 swipes a year, so I would take it as not necessarily minimum 1 transaction every month?

QUOTE(charlesj @ Sep 1 2018, 02:02 AM) Sorry, I have no idea for this. For HSBC VS, it is clearly stated in their T&C: "Annual fee will be waived if the Cardholder(s) swipe the HSBC Credit Card at least once a month for a period of 12 consecutive months." But from HSBC website: HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-i "Annual fee waived with 12 consecutive swipes per year" Also, I can't find the exact T&C for Amanah MPower from their website. Hence, I suggest you to call CS for waiver. Just called HSBC, no questions asked, immediately the customer service said they will proceed to waive the annual fee and will be credited back in the next statement.
