HSBC Hotline so weird. I cant connect to their customer service representative. No option available for me to choose after i key in my IC number. Keep asking me go back to previous menu.

After try few times, i purposely key in the wrong IC number then only can get through.
I find out the reason behind is because my phone banking pin was inactive because I din call them for long time.

So funny, the bank side deactivate the customer phone pin without notify the customer yet still block the customer to call them.

Yes ngam ngam need to pay cukai pintu and a few utility bills. Pump twice petrol, insurance for car and road tax.

Just transfer to the credit card number from your online banking account. I use Giro like fruitie 😊
When they received your money will get a SMS confirmation

i just got my hsbc card and it is a visa signature card. I was told by the CS that its free annual fee but now looking at the pamphlet came with the card showing an annual fee of rm600+ applies. They also credited RM12k 0% cash advance to my bank account already. Now after reading this thread, i'm thinking not to activate the card and return the 12k. What a scam.

are you sure there is no penalty clause coming with the 12K cash advance for canceling it earlier?

I am also interested to know what 'scam' did you discover?

What scam? doh.gif doh.gif AF? It can be waived with just one swipe per month. Apa susah? laugh.gif
Not forcing you to pay that AF. First year AF is usually free.

Annual Fee
1. What is the annual fee for Visa Signature Credit Card?
The annual fee for Visa Signature Credit Cards remains as RM636 per annum (including GST) for Primary cards and RM318 per annum (including GST) for
Supplementary cards.

Annual fee will be waived if the cardholder(s) swipe the HSBC Visa Signature Credit Card at least once a month for a consecutive 12 months period.

From what i read in the pinup in this thread saying having to call to waive the fee even u have swiped 12 times the card really bother me. If i have to call everytime to waive it there is no difference from my existing Citibank card. They should automatically waive it instead of us having to call or beg.

Its not about forcing or not..its about transparency and don't make me read your tiny font size terms and conditions.. if ur agent said its waived when you use 12 times then it should be waived automatically instead of us to call to request for a waiver.

My Citibank Platinum card i need to call every year to waive it even i used it a lot. That is why when the HSBC agent approached me i asked is it no annual fee and i dont want to call everytime and she said yes.

This excerpt is from their website. If you fulfill, nothing to beg. If they don't waive automatically then complain to BNM. As simple as this. That's my practice. My question is have you been called up to beg? Not yet right? Then, why have this kind of assumption? I can't wait for them to charge me AF if I fulfill the criteria then it gives me a chance to hit them with BNM. Don't mess with some cardholders, like me. I don't give banks easy way to escape and likewise I will not call to beg if I know I cannot fulfill the criteria. For e.g. my MBB VS.

I've not try to call them of course since i've not even activated the card yet but by reading the story from the pinup in this thread, it does make me think twice whether want to go thru the hassle or not, for instance like what you have suggested hit them with BNM.
