QUOTE(lionheart23 @ Jul 9 2016, 09:18 AM) hsbc customer service is 100 times better than any local bank, scold them before and they agreed to increase my credit limit as to make me stay for loyal customer lol~~~~~~ Just curious, how much credit limit they have provided after you shout at them? HSBC credit card is known for being very generous with their credit limit.

My old HSBC card expired, received new card but no plan to use because I'm using the other card (diff bank). So, if I don't activate within the given period, will my account expires by itself?
Had intention to terminate it but lazy to call the customer service.

If your card somehow got into fraud and there is no record of you asking for termination, you will still be liable for the losses. So, please don't be lazy.

In The time taken to post the message here n read the response you could have done the termination already. Make better use of your time

Make better use of your time Oops, i don't think jimbet1337 would appreciate you being up-front, haha. Anyway, why you want to keep the card when you are not using it? Don't forget there's annual fee. Besides, you might as well cancel it and reapply it back few months later to get their sign up gift.

Hai,
Just read over all the threads regarding HSBC cards. Just to ask, is there still any annual fees waived now ( Through calling in or auto waived after 12 swipes per yr) I plan to take Visa Platinum from HSBC together with the 15 mths CIP.
I found that the annual fees are high compared to many other banks. So is it worthwhile to apply and ask for waive afterthat or autowaived?
Thanks a lot.

For the AF part, I'm into my 3rd year with my HSBC mPower card now and so far no issues calling CS for waiver. My usage with this card is very minimal but I do used it >12 times a year.
