Hi there,
Anyone has got any call from HSBC marketing department regarding the HTC phone?
I've checked with their CS, and I'm in the list. But yet to receive the call from their side to confirm on this and the address verification for phone courier.

QUOTE(leo_kiatez @ May 16 2015, 12:50 AM) Just got a call today from a 3rd party company to confirm on my mailing address for free HTC phone..wonder how long does it take to receive the phone? Congrats bro! Hope I can get a call asap too..My case is rather complicated.. HSBC sent the card to a wrong mailing address last time, and they reissued a new card.. I checked with them, my replacement card was eligible to win the phone and in the list, but the first one, which didn't ever reach me is obviously not in the list. Fingers crossed..

Hi Guys, I saw HSBC booth in Mid Valley and they approached me to upgrade from Amanah Visa Platinum to Visa Signature for free. My Platinum card is now looked very worn out and buruk already. So want to ask, whether it is good for upgrade? The benefit AFAIK is not much on Signature, just PPL entrance. What about the reward points of Signature? Worthwhile or just a crappy marketing? Also Platinum cashback now is not really attractive. Any advise from /k bros here whether to proceed?

QUOTE(Ben1009 @ Jul 24 2016, 06:06 PM) Hai, Just read over all the threads regarding HSBC cards. Just to ask, is there still any annual fees waived now ( Through calling in or auto waived after 12 swipes per yr) I plan to take Visa Platinum from HSBC together with the 15 mths CIP. I found that the annual fees are high compared to many other banks. So is it worthwhile to apply and ask for waive afterthat or autowaived? Thanks a lot. For the AF part, I'm into my 3rd year with my HSBC mPower card now and so far no issues calling CS for waiver. My usage with this card is very minimal but I do used it >12 times a year.

QUOTE(laymank @ Aug 24 2016, 08:13 AM) The payout should be some time in December, if hsbc really diligently follows their own T&C, no? Yeah I can't deny that fact when dealing with hsbc. Unless someone has some plan to spend big. Wondering about using posonline to pay Aeon cc for this. Seems like it falls on some grey area by reading the tnc even though it's an online transaction. But who knows hsbc tag it as utilities. This post has been edited by kawteem: Aug 24 2016, 10:07 AM

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Aug 26 2016, 02:51 PM) I generally don't like to participate in HSBC's promotions, because payout is slow and T&C are quite hard to predict (unlike PBB or HLB). Plus, the credit cards themselves don't seem to offer a lot of cashback, so taking part in the promo is a risk, because you may get very little return. By the time December comes, I will have forgotten my spending, and may even have cancelled the card! Couldn't agree more. Well I will just try my luck then since other cards' cb are maxed out already. Plus point is just I get to delay Aeon dues a bit.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Aug 27 2016, 02:12 PM) The only risk is POS Online's 2% service charge. Please update us in December if / when cashback comes in! In other news, I just called to cancel my HSBC credit card, but the retention people offered me RM50 if I spend RM200 (on anything). Of course I took up the offer, but intend to cancel once the RM50 comes in. Will wait a few months, check if any good RinggitPlus promotions, then reapply as a new customer! Good offer you got there. You spent much on this card?

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Aug 28 2016, 12:02 AM) Not at all. Applied for this card over 1 year ago (July 2015) and received Apple TV from Ringgitplus.com. Total spending over 1 year is only 8K max. Total cashback I received including promo is RM225. Overall very low usage unless promo or all other cards exhausted. Thanks! I don't see any point keeping this card too. Shall call to cancel soon and hoping their retention team gets back to me as there's nothing to lose.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Oct 22 2016, 02:02 PM) I didn't get anything, and I know that I definitely made qualifying swipes (because I track using Excel). But this is my general experience with HSBC - the promos are not very easy to win, and not predictable. I have ALWAYS gotten less than what I expect. You participated in both campaigns? Getting none from both?

QUOTE(laymank @ Dec 2 2016, 03:11 PM) Yup! I was just slapped with 'CB on 1st come 1st served basis'. Waiting to hear from second contest which I have participated and supposed to be paid out first week of December (12 weeks). If still tell me 'first come first served basis', I will tell them to fly kite! Bro, Are you referring to their Mega promotion campaign?
