QUOTE(Nucleon @ Dec 12 2006, 02:58 PM) oh thanks.... But i cant use Toutu in office .. been trying with tunnelling service also cant work .Wondering what they did with the firewall. I try secure IX and secure tunnel , it works but when i use http-tunnel usually a good network admin will block all udp connections. firewall logically will not block outgoing port only incoming. torrent works good if u portforward which is incoming ports. anyway without port forward also can get good speed 100+ if just want to download. |

This software does not increase your internet speed, it is no magic bullet. It will only keep tabs on your Internet connection. If your connection goes down it will spoof your MAC address making your PC appear to be a new machine to the Internet providers. From the description above we can know it doesn't solve the problem. Better don't simply try a software on your machine. If you're curious, try it on some spare PC which doesn't have your work. |

Hi,
Anybody try bitcomet v0.80? I js install last weekend, and find out it can bypass TMnet throttling. And, my dl speed reach 70KB+. Before install v0.80, i used v0.70. I check the diff between 0.8 and 0.7 is "DHE", encryption protocol. 0.70 use DHE 0.80 use DHEv2 (think 0.74 already use new encryption protocol) But bad news is DHEv2 can only dl things from same version encryption. And, currently no so many user use latest version of bitcomet. If ur torrent not so hot, it can't help u so much. uTorrent 1.6 use DHE also. It appears that Bitcomet client which using DHEv2 CAN bypass the throttling. I run a lot of torrent from US(with average leecher and seeder around 100+) and force the encryption to always, bitcomet client which used DHEv2 can send me the data at higher speed(from international peers) while normal DHE don't even send me any data. Unencrypted connection even worse. Too bad that I usually encounter less than 20 bitcomet client that used DHEv2. I can get speed around 60-80kb/s if there are more than 10 bitcomet users using DHEv2 to connect to mine.

Hi John Lai,
My condition same 2 u, v2 - v2 user can get more dl speed but old encryption or w/o encryption js like normal throttling. v2 think start from 0.74, but when i install 0.7x, i facing hard to connect and slow. v2 can solve the throttling issue? or it's another isp and torrent user war? sigh... |

I suspect DHE is bitcomet's PE codename, and think v2 implemented from 0.74, coz i found out peer connected older version use v2 is 0.74. And, hard to get any information about DHE, think bitcomet designer wan to protect this part. Currently, think js latest bitcomet using v2 DHE. |

I found this on Utorrent's forum.
QUOTE ISP's that throttle ot intefere with utorrent Anyone got ideas? There is a catch however, the Telekom personel gave me a very useful piece of information saying that Telekom is blocking by keywords meaning, filenames that have extensions of .torrent, (e-donkey & e-mule extensions). He said, if I am able to find a way to load my torrents without loading the .torrent file, then my bandwidth will be back as usual. Sadly, I do not know of any other way to open a torrent file. I've tried some sites that have the option of "Azureus Magnet Link" but it still didn't work. If you are wondering why he told me so, he is also a serious torrent user. I hope someone will figure out a way to avoid this. |
