that sound like bullshit to me. throttling and torrent traffic detection do not rely on keyword. it analyses the traffic pattern and make the relevant throttling. what the f*** does the TMnet tech means by .torrent keyword... download and upload data between peers and seeds got nothing to do with the stupid f***ing keyword. you can change the .torrent extension to anything you want and any BT client will still open it if its original form is a torrent file. what a load of crap. TMnet farkas trying to spread misinformation .

I never know that laugh.gif

anyway, some ISP [foreign ISP], does block anything ends up with *.torrent extension and prevent users to download the *.torrent file, block torrent sites[such as mininova.org]

Rufus is the client that is based on g3torrent but also now not develop anymore sad really cause it was quite an ok client. All attention swallowed by Utorrent.

it seems after all the explanation I have laid out, there are still fools who just like to believe in nonsense. TMnet personnel is talking cock, people! the throttling of torrent traffic got nothing to do with its preventing the download of torrent files from websites. those are totally two different things and anyone, nobody has ever faced any problem downloading torrent files from websites. we only have problem when we used those torrents and faced throttling and blockage in the upload and download traffic between peers and seeds... are we clear?

feel like I am talking to a wall.

Its not the extension its the protocol itself make it easy to detect the traffic that is used. When the torrent tries to connect it announce itself as bittorent protocol..some sort of flag. If im not mistaken. Maybe im just talking crap..

laugh.gif, I try translate what "crap" you're trying to say:

- You might want to say that ISP will block those common ports for the tracker? Such as port "7000", "6969" and such

some foreign ISP do block those ports

don't be so happy. tmnut can and will throttle vpn connections if they want to. all it takes is for them to look at the data streams that are running at full speeds 24/7 and they will know some wise guy is using vpn to download torrents. they already throttled relakks and secureix. don't think they won't throttle openvpn connections because they can.
