Do you guys ever know when the throttling kick in after I on my BT? I also face cant access to any http/https site after I BT for many hours. I'm suspecting that Tmnet Shaping is not very efficient also. I suspect they also accidentally drop my http packets.

The shaping is not very healthty to me. I hate this. It is wasting my time to setup a BT Server.

Dear Sir / Madam,
TM NET SDN BHD'S RESPONSE TO COMPLAINT REGARDING P2P BROADBAND.

For your information, p2p throughput is subject to peers (seed) availability and
their throughput. Please note that TM Net does not have any control over peers
availability / throughput.

TM  Net wish to highlight that as an Internet Service Provider, TM Net only
provides Internet access and does not guarantee content delivery and
performance where it is not within the domain of TM Net. As a matter of policy,
our international traffic management is designed to cater for all our customer
so they have the optimal surfing experience within the normal limits of
Internet usage.

We would also like to reiterate that we are not against the use of p2p but we
would like to take this opportunity to educate our customers that the usage of
excessive p2p does impact the overall service availability to other customers.

We wish to also highlight to customers that TM Net provides each subscriber with
an allocated bandwidth to which other subscriber may use the allocation when not
used by others. Unfortunately, the nature of p2p more often than not, takes more
than the allocated bandwidth, thus causing undue setbacks for other users when
they want to use the service.

As a responsible service, we believe it is our responsibility and commitment to
educate and encourage responsible usage of the available infrastructure.

Thank you.
why want educate us when they r more stupid then us ?  mad.gif  mad.gif
they give us 1mbps connection and we USE it for urself, if they say i cant use p2p becoz it will take other ppl bandwich, then, what other purpose we use high speed internet ? just for chatting ? see my mail then what ? we use broadband becoz we want higher speed download and upload, plus, why say p2p take other ppl bandwich when my d/l is is same with my subsribe package ( 1mbps@RM88), it same like they want us subscribe to 1mb package but tell us dont use all speed we pay for it, just want us use 10% from our should get speed  maybe ?  why tmnet cant see this problem from our customer view ? put all blame to us and nothing to their own self  vmad.gif

mad.gif Damn Tmnut... i want to downgrade my line from 1mb to 512... rclxub.gif no point to pay 1mb connection just for surfing and check mail.. screw u tmnut.. drool.gif

Tuotu can get good speed because it can download/upload using UDP. However, not all clients support UDP yet or going to. If you download torrent file where all of seeders/peers are using client which does not support UDP, then tuotu can only use TCP. In that case, the speed will be just the same as you're using utorrent which doesn't support UDP. smile.gif

Thanks for the information. If tuotu's UDP implementation compatible with azureus' then they can transfer to each other unthrottled.

For me, I change to macrolynx and solved problem with streamyx shaping stuff. Also my cyberjaya line is giving me 10mbit upload and download. so no issues with tmnet. 5 minutes only to download 40 minutes series. Suggest u guys get other provider if availble in your areas. i think my provider is using time backbone.

Changes to router no effect one. Change provider maybe or use socks server as mentioned by someone will definitely work. Been doing some socks servers stuff with my utorrent and it does work. Now can get 100+KB on streamyx.
