QUOTE(Lurker @ Mar 29 2016, 12:11 AM) sorry.. maybe accurate is the wrong term, what about can measure body fat% with reasonable accuracy? just to keep track of my fat loss progress... QUOTE(ripplezone @ Feb 26 2016, 07:15 PM) If you don't need so accurate numbers, which are usually for competition, then the best is just compare to the mirror and pictures online. Also, you should be tracking your own habits in food choices and amount of exercise instead.Look up Google Images for body fat percentage, that would give you a good guideline on your category. Combine that with a second more accurate and almost free way, is to use the tailors' measurement tape, and measure your neck and belly. Then input those figures into this calculator: http://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp...c=Body-Fat-Navy The numbers are good enough. Good habits are hard to form. Results would naturally follow the habits, and you don't have to worry about them. |

QUOTE(sabrinalee @ Apr 26 2016, 03:26 PM) I was trying to lose some weight by doing some cardio exercises every day running at least 4km on the treadmill...I was enjoying the run but last week I injured my right knee while trying to run faster by putting forward a larger step...I think it is close to a week now and yet when I try to run again today, I still fell slight pain so I think I may need bit more time to recover.....but have anyone tried reflexologyreflexology and does it work to recover fast from sports injury? That is why running long distance for weight lose is stupid. You wanted to lose weight, which mean you are heavy, and running with a heavy body means bad for the knee. And its extremely boring I teach my obese clients to do variations of exercises that is knee friendly and theres no issue whatsoever. |

QUOTE(grumpydrive @ Apr 27 2016, 07:34 AM) Well according to google I will suggest you to go and check on your own metabolic rate 1st if you are seriously want to lose weight. Understand your own body figure then find a method to lose your weight. Different people having different calories intake. And remember to get back ideal weight is not asking you to lose your muscle weight. haha .. else the whole body you keep is only fat. Now trying to limit my rice to 1 cup. No sweet beverages or junk food. |
