Hi guys. Quick question: How much does it cost to repair / replace the preve's car key fob? My dad's key snapped at the end of the key (where it meets fob). Proton SC quoted RM600 or so to replace one key  blink.gif And yes, both main key and spare key snapped.
*
can ask sc..but make sure u keep the chip inside that remote..if the chip hilang, sure rm600-700 terbang..

Guys, just wondering how much did you pay for your 30,000km service full price without any voucher redemption? I paid RM502.
*
Mine was RM361.++. All standard services items based on service schedule, without any additional and unnecessary items.

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. Looks like a overpaid for the 30,000km service for my car. The funny thing is the service adviser mentioned everything is standard and there is nothing that can be reduced although I have asked him to exclude all "unnecessary items".

I think in the 1st page of this thread got some attachment for the service price list table.. Why not compare from there, and discuss with SC adviser, what is the different between that list, with their price.

Yup, its true. If possible, maybe you can share the itemised bill of the service with us here.

Btw, where SC did you go for the service?

Never mind. I have called Proton Careline and similarly they mentioned that for the 30,000km and 40,000km service for the Preve Turbo the estimated service cost is RM300-400. I have written in to WEARE to ask for an official explanation on the RM502 service charge that I was asked to pay by the service guy.

I don't have the itemised bill right now but it is the usual parts in engine oil and stuff, with the Procare which I told was the "gaji upah" of the guy who serviced my car, and the air cond service which I was told is standard and cannot be omitted.

The service centre is COSE.

Owh, I forgot to mention that mine was for Executive. Didn't know yours is Turbo. So it might not be the same. blush.gif

Hi guys, finally got my 2012 Premium White CFE. Straight out of the box, the car showed it's rebellious nature by turning on me:

1. I have two key fobs, one can open car, but can't start the car. Vice versa for the other. After on Acc, brake pedal damn stiff can't depress.

2. Auto fold side mirror folds until it hits itself on the passenger window.

Any ideas. Thank you very much!

U got 2014 or 2015 made preve?
*
2014 model. I was one of the first buyers when the offer came out and got my car very quickly. A day before i collect had to go outstation for emergency work. Lucky the dealer was my friends aunty so she kept the car for me for almost a month and still below 40km when i took it. After all, its only waiting for me to collect, already registered under me.

I have checked with WeCare. SC are not allowed to make modifications. Even installing a Proton branded reverse camera is considered a modification (if original design does not have a reverse camera).

Cheerio.

P/S  Why visor? I have used it in my old Wira and I do not see the benefit. Enlighten me please.
*
Thank you so much for guiding me there thumbup.gif thumbup.gif . Guess I have to live without the camera, was advice to not void the warranty by the dealer. Btw my reverse camera sometimes got sound sometimes no sound, experience before?

For the visor, i quite like the looks of the car with a visor. Personally i feel it looks more sporty. As for necessity wise, I use to drive the old saga aerobac with the air-cons always having issues. So visors allow me to lower down the window and get fresh air when that happens while it rains. I know its not necessary now as my air-cons are fine, but the old habit keep make me want to breath fresh air during rain (Weird but true).

1. One of the immobilizer chip must have got damaged either by dropping or submerged in water. Every car does have stiff brake pedal when engine is turned off, especially yours doesn't have EVP to help
2. Proton SC can help

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. Appreciate it.

1. Problem solved at SC, they took out a bosch diagnostic reader to set my fob keys again. Cost was rm60. Car under warranty vmad.gif i believe other owners who get difficulty in starting the car can try this.

2. Still not fixed yet. I'll fucuk them to fix at next service.

I think i'll compile useful info for owners that were in the v1 till v22 threads (i'll try my best)

I know CFE originally come with 4 mil security tinted.
Anybody tried on 5mil tinted? I afraid will affect the power window.

Actually I'm looking on Raytech security tinted for my preve MT.
Seem CS85 having better IRR and can fit my budget.
