ceramic pad bites earlier, but it's softer than stock. Screeching noise during low speed braking and hard braking.
Hard braking to standstill, is softer than stock a lot (have to get used to it if not sure hit the car infront), if i do the same with stockpad my tyre will lock already.

Stock pad- biting better, less noise.
Ceramic pad- bites earlier, noisy, softer so far never lock my tyres.

So far driven about 400+KM will update more later.

did u ask the mechanic to bleed brake fluid?
mine after changed to bendix gct (also ceramic if not mistaken), braking power improves, just very seldom got little brake noise on morning braking after startup.

mine screeching sound is the whole day, maybe will try. I thought just change pad should be sufficient.

Remove the seat by pressing on the two hooks located on each end of the seats (just run your hand around the bottom of the seat and you'll eventually find it. Push, hold, and then pull the seat out.

You will find three screws that you need to remove (if I remember correctly, and if the new persona design is the same with the old). One is a large one in the middle, and the other two are located at each end of the car (they're small in size holding down a hook).

Once you have removed all of the screws holding the backrest, push the backrest from the bottom up. You will need to move the seat belts out of the way as you do this.

i don't think ceramic brake pad is categorized as performance type, it's more like dustless green brake pad... better or equal to stock braking power. but stock brake pad produce dust like emit smoke, drive 2-3 days already rim dirty.

It should be the Elegance version.  biggrin.gif

1) No round signal light on the front fenders.
2) Door panels style
3) Glovebox colour (light grey vs dark grey in old Persona)
4) HU style ( single DIN ).
5) Odometer

It should be H-line, judging from the number of airbags, 4 disc brakes, full body kit. PEs that were produced during that time would only come with these few things if you're buying the H-Line model if I'm not mistaken.

Yup, its H-Line. Leather seats and Auto cruise. smile.gif

Hey guys,
I encounter a problem recently. When i drove to genting highland, my engine suddenly turn off on a slope up. I need to change back to neutral to restart the car. After that again my engine cut off. takes me at least 10 re-start before reaching top.

Why is this happening anyways? Even my previous 2000yr 1.3wira aeroback also can go up genting highland but not persona? = =a

Hope can get some idea from taiko here. I was so scare that I am going to died that time. = =

I've read on previous threads that the cost to repaint / respray whole car is around 2k. Any opinions on this?

Any recommendations if wanna change the 4 speakers?Or just get a portable bluetooth speaker no need for wiring whatsoever?

is it normal if sometimes i cant start my car?
for example i go to shop, park a car. then after comeback from shop, i cant start my car. wait a few seconds (around 10 seconds), then can start the car.

is this mean i cant start my car immediately after enter key in the key hole?
how do i know how long i need to wait before rotate my key from "ON" to "Start" ?

A year or two ago it is around there for a decent / average paint job. I'm not sure about the price now.

When you say "can't start", do you mean it doesn't crank, or it cranks but doesn't start? If it cranks but it doesn't seem to start, it's normal for this engine. You have to twist it for a longer than usual time to start if this happens.

yup it does not crank. there are few symbols at the screen once i rotate the key to "ON". if i do not wait the 1 or 2 symbols in the screen turn off before i rotate the key to "start", i cant start the car. i have to repeat again from beginning:
rotate key from ""Off" or "Lock" --> "On" --> Wait until seatbelt symbol turn off --> then can start engine successfully
