QUOTE(kennywee92 @ Dec 16 2014, 12:50 PM) Is it? I see a lot of gen2 with 55 profile still. Why go 60 profile? Comfort wise almost the same I felt. Braking wise, I feel improvement with 55 profile pulak. mine oso 55 profile, damn jumpy when going uneven road...gen2 cps version proton start giving 60 profile as well, so there's reason for the move. |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Dec 30 2014, 05:36 PM) Uhm.... Dunno what sort of damage will it cause, but I imagine that it wouldn't be good for your blower motor with the on off going on, and possibly your air-cond compressor if you did not turn it off manually. Great! Can you send me the shop name and location? Thanks. My special air-cond shop at Sungai Buloh. Mine happen very frequently now, definitely need to change if out-of my control... |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Dec 31 2014, 01:37 AM) Bro, hi, which contact points? you mean the socket plugged-in to the controller there? got any photo for reference? seems not easy to dismantle as need to take out the casing around gearbox area right?actually you can dismantle it and clean the contact points. I did mine a month+ ago and working fine until now, no more on/off aircond or suddenly high speed fan symptoms. Perhaps you can give it a try before replace it. Patco cost (3 screws) = RM2xx Sanden cost (4 screws) = RM2xx-3xx tq. QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Dec 31 2014, 01:38 AM) I'll send it to you when I locate the receipt. I cannot guarantee the price though because it might be special price. so the aircond controller you bought from them, but replace yourself aka diy? |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Dec 31 2014, 04:35 PM) No, not the connector, was there any IC/chipset inside? Or any resistor?is the aircond knob behind those contact points. unfortunately I only have the aircond switch photo, I forgot to take the PCB photo. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « my problem i guess it wasn't the contact point issue, more likely some electronic losses spec after heat-up (use for certain period). |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Dec 31 2014, 06:47 PM) Nope. I let them install it for me, but helped them disassemble the centre console at the same time to make it faster. I'm going to send you the shop's info now, but call them first before you go to confirm the price & stock. i think my center console dissemble would be more work as mine was earlier batch of gen2, seems the middle glovebox need to taken out as well. I brought mine home and opened it. Till now never did anything later batch or persona elegance i notice some changes in center console design, which makes it easier for aircond controller replacement... |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Dec 31 2014, 11:52 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the center console you just need to loosen/remove all the screws, no need dismantle totally, you need a free space in order to pull out the aircond assembly only.. how is the old Gen2 center console looks like? I only remember the Power Windows Switch is located at there . http://www.autoworld.com.my/v2/news/view-n...93/63274850.jpg Few years back I have tried to dismantle the aircond controller when the knobs and board went inside. I remove the radio, but couldn't take out the controller as it was hold tight by the center console case. I only managed to tape the board back using my fingertip. QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Jan 1 2015, 01:35 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The step to dismantle is more or less same as new version, (new center console got 5x screws) just loosen all the screws from center console and slightly lift up and push it to rear side, (Gear Knob boot and handbrake boot area should remove first) becareful on the wiring that connected to cigarette lighter and power windows (Your case) |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Jan 1 2015, 09:18 PM) Bro, thanks for the photo, but i think the front 2x screws doesn't apply to my car... don't know if left and right outside glovebox screws applicable or not, will check on the weekend.the 5x screws I mentioned is center console for Gen2 CPS and Persona .. Campro Gen2 Type center console I don't know leh. [attachmentid=4282774] 1x screw at each side at the front small compartment, left and right each unit. 1x screw inside glove box. 1x screw at outside/side of the glove box, left and right each unit. as you can see from the photo above, the red circle (left and right each side) is the thing that connected to the aircond assembly. |

QUOTE(McFcker @ Feb 5 2015, 04:11 PM) ceramic pad bites earlier, but it's softer than stock. Screeching noise during low speed braking and hard braking. did u ask the mechanic to bleed brake fluid? Hard braking to standstill, is softer than stock a lot (have to get used to it if not sure hit the car infront), if i do the same with stockpad my tyre will lock already. Stock pad- biting better, less noise. Ceramic pad- bites earlier, noisy, softer so far never lock my tyres. So far driven about 400+KM will update more later. mine after changed to bendix gct (also ceramic if not mistaken), braking power improves, just very seldom got little brake noise on morning braking after startup. QUOTE(iskazulka @ Feb 6 2015, 04:02 PM) i don't think ceramic brake pad is categorized as performance type, it's more like dustless green brake pad... better or equal to stock braking power. but stock brake pad produce dust like emit smoke, drive 2-3 days already rim dirty. |

QUOTE(rex82 @ Feb 12 2015, 08:48 AM) Did morning went to work and try, the engine response really good and feel lighter where got engine oil losing so fast? If 2-3 days already notice reduction in engine oil, i believe your car is leaking oil heavily (oil pan broken or nut not tigten properly).check it at least once every 2 week or next day after long distance driving. |
