try this...

FSB Bus = 250MHz
LDT/FSB = x1 (i used to use this multiplier tongue.gif)
Multiplier = x10
vCORE = 1.400 or 1.425 (don't leave it as "Auto")
*
LDT x1, improve stability? does it affects lotsa performance?

yeap... i use LDT x 1, without any problem at all, the performance... i don't see any slowness/lagginess/ or whatever that badly affect the lower LDT icon_idea.gif... beside, sometimes, i can't boot at LDT x 3 or x 4, don't why for sure...

of course it possible to overclock, tongue.gif, anyway... overclocking using capalang PSU is not recommended, it's just too dangerous for that, and frankly speaking, i don't trust on capalang PSU at all.

wow...my x2 really likes voltage. LOL...cant get pass 2.35Ghz other day. after adding more voltage, now become 1.425v in bios. lower in windows (CPUz, everest = 1.39v).

i noticed a drop became 1.36 while Orthos stress while using 1.4v (1.38v in cpuz), that's when Orthos gave me error. laugh.gif

i wonder wat's the safe range of voltage? i read somewhere x2 toledo core can go up to 1.45+v within the safe range.

actually it's because there's voltage fluctuation suffered from your either PSU or inaccurate voltage reading in BIOS/Motherboard icon_idea.gif, like mine here... if i leave in BIOS as "Auto", it'll detect in (CPUz) @1.113v while in CoreTemp 4.21, it's 1.35v icon_idea.gif - suffered BSOD all the time though...
for now, i set in BIOS @1.400v, and detected in CPUz @1.360 instead of 1.135v (Auto in BIOS)

So how much can you OC so far?

Here's a general guide on Vcore and max temp:

my X2 3800+ oced to 2.45Ghz stable with HT multiplier 3 and Cpu multiplier 10 (vcore= 1.36V and Vdimm=auto). then i tried to increse Ht multiplier to 4 and its only stable at 2.4Ghz (Vcore=1.38, Vdimm=auto). seems the temp increase abit while idle form 38'c to 40'c. is this normal?? seems higher speed lower Htt multiplier give cooler temp...

don't think HTT speed will affect temeprature , normally speed and voltage will do so .

what i tried to mean is check the speed when POST ( after disable logo then only can see current speed , and you already did that blush.gif )
press PAUSE|BREAK to halt the POST screen so you can read properly ( POST usually run very fast )
