I thought it should be
TSRS = EY
IRM = KPMG
SPA/ RAS = PwC
ERS = Deloitte

KPMG has renamed its IRM department to IT Advisory (ITA). icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm from penang.izit that all BIg 4 are freezing recruitment ? i think penang is seriously affected. i was being informed of the slowing down of recruiment in every interviews. Some firms even no reply , but those that has interviewed are always keeping me under in K.I.V status and said there is no vancancies available but carried out an interview in advance in order to shorlist those potential. by the time any of staff resigned , would call potential candidates to come for 2nd interview .

Seems to be getting worse already. I heard some departments will start to request staff to go on compulsory leave if they are non-chargeable for too long.

Especially now during off peak, I don't think they will recruit any more people for the time being..

Yes, now is off-peak. Most december accounts would have been signed already (or soon at least). However, i still go back at 11pm on average most days and come back to office on the weekends, hmmm.

The official off peak is about June...but for some firms, they already started to experience off peak or going to be off peak...not as much jobs as compared to peak..but still have some jobs on and off during the period...

yes, peak is until June for most firms but for the bigger ones which has big June year end client, the offpeak is almost never gonna happen.. peak is until June because those non-listed Dec year end account need to be signed off before June ma. =)

I think this is where you are wrong. For the Big 4s they are still hiring at the moment, its just that the criterias have become more stringent.

After all, right now supply outstrips demand, you can afford to be picky about your future employee and make sure you hire the best out of the pool of labour workforce. So essentially, yes they are being picky and hiring less, but that does not equate to not hiring at all.

p/s: my 2 cents.
